Brian O'Connell (musician)
Brian O'Connell is an American multi- instrumentalist, composer, arranger, record producer and actor. He is the bassist and producer for Pakistani sufi rock band Junoon. O'Connell and Salman Ahmad were friends of one another since high school. O'Connell joined Junoon when keyboardist, Nusrat Hussain, left the band and Salman Ahmad contacted and invited him to play bass on the band's second album, '' Talaash''. He is known for harmonizing the western 5-string bass riffs with the traditional tabla and drums. After the release of the band's seventh studio album, '' Dewaar'', O'Connell went back to his native land the United States. Tappan ( ) is a hamlet and census-designated place in the town of Orangetown, Rockland County, New York. ''Dewaar'' (Urdu: دیوار, literal English translation: "wall") is the seventh studio album and the thirteenth overall album of the Pakistani band, Junoon released in 2003. ''Talaash'' (Urdu: تلاش, literal English translation: "search") is the second studio album of the Pakistani sufi rock band Junoon, released on September 3, 1993. The album was to be their first with bassist Brian O'Connell, who joined the band after Nusrat Hussain departed from the band to pursue his career as a solo artist and released his debut album ''Amrit'' in 1992. This was also the first Junoon album produced by Salman Ahmad and O'Connell, both also went on releasing several other albums by Junoon before O'Connell left the band after ''Dewaar'' in 2003. The album also served as a soundtrack for the Pakistani television show '' Talaash'', which featured the band and its novel storyline was based on the band. Nusrat Hussain
Nusrat Hussain (Urdu:نصرت حسین), is a Pakistani musician, airline pilot, guitarist, and keyboardist. He played guitar for the Vital Signs and keyboard for Junoon in the mid 1990s. He soon left both bands opting for a career in PIA as an airline pilot in airline industry. After his departure from Junoon, Nusrat released a solo album ''Amrit,'' which featured popular tracks such as Jo Chaho Tum and Teri Awaz. He made a comeback in 2015 with his album ''Kaho,'' which was a collaboration between him and music producer Sarmad Ghafoor. Nusrat Hussain currently captains Boeing 777 aircraft for Qatar Airways.
