Brian O'Connell (hurler)
Brian O'Connell (born 17 February 1984) is an Irish former hurling, hurler and Manager (Gaelic Games), manager. At club level he played with Wolfe Tones na Sionna GAA, Wolfe Tones, and also lined out at inter-county level with various Clare GAA, Clare teams. O'Connell has been the Clare minor hurling team manager since 2021. Playing career Born in Shannon, County Clare, Shannon, County Clare, O'Connell first played hurling at juvenile and underage levels with the Wolfe Tones na Sionna GAA, Wolfe Tones club. He eventually progressed to adult level and won a Clare Senior Hurling Championship, Clare SHC medal after a defeat of Newmarket-on-Fergus GAA, Newmarket-on-Fergus in 2006. O'Connell first appeared on the inter-county scene with Clare GAA, Clare as a member of the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship, minor team in 2002. Frank Lohan
Frank Lohan (born 1974 in Shannon, County Clare) is an Irish sportsperson. He plays hurling with his adopted club Oranmore/Maree, on the outskirts of Galway city, and was a member of the Clare senior inter-county team from 1995 until 2008. Playing career Frank Lohan won his first Munster Senior Hurling Championship in 1995, as Clare defeated Limerick 1-17 to 0-11 in the final. The team then went on to win the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, a victory that made Lohan and his teammates heroes in County Clare - it was the county team's first All-Ireland senior win since 1914. The Waterford Crystal Cup was an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association from 2006 to 2015 for the top inter-county teams and third-level institutes and universities in the province of Munster in Ireland. The Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the Electric Ireland Munster GAA Hurling Minor Championship) is an annual inter-county hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).
