Brian Honour
Brian Honour (born 16 February 1964) is an English former association football, footballer who made nearly 400 appearances in the English Football League, Football League playing as a midfielder for Darlington F.C., Darlington and mainly Hartlepool United F.C., Hartlepool United. He had a brief spell as joint caretaker manager of Hartlepool with Paul Baker (footballer), Paul Baker in 1999, managed at non-league level, and set up his own coaching school. Early career Brian Honour began his career as a schoolboy for Aston Villa before being released for too being too small. His brother John was a regular at Hartlepool during the 1970s. Brian moved onto Darlington F.C. and stayed there for three seasons until he again was released by Darlington manager Cyril Knowles for being too small. He then had spells in the Northern Football League, Northern League with Peterlee Town F.C., Peterlee Town and Tow Law Town F.C., Tow Law. Horden
Horden is a village and Wards and electoral divisions of the United Kingdom, electoral ward in County Durham, England. It is situated on the North Sea coast, to the east of Peterlee, approximately 12 miles south of Sunderland, Tyne and Wear, Sunderland. Horden was a mining village until the closure of the Horden Colliery in 1987. Main features include the Welfare and Memorial Parks and St Mary's church. It is connected to the villages of Blackhall Colliery and Blackhall Rocks to its south by a spectacular rail viaduct which spans Castle Eden Dene near Denemouth. Horden Dene provides Horden's northern boundary with Easington Colliery. History The local manor house, Horden Hall, was built in the early 17th century by Conyers baronets, Sir John Conyers, 1st Baronet (d.1664).
