Brian Charles Hall (20 November 1937 – 17 September 1997) was an English actor. He is best remembered for his role as hotel chef Terry Hughes in the British sitcom ''Fawlty Towers''. Career Hall played many hard-boiled tough guy Cockney roles: his role as the amiable chef Terry in ''Fawlty Towers'' was a casting against type. He played leading roles in police drama '' Softly, Softly: Taskforce'' (1971–72), crime drama '' McVicar'' (1980), and sitcom ''You Must Be The Husband'' (1987). Brian Hall (born August 31, 1959) is an American author. Education He attended Harvard University from 1977 to 1981, graduating summa cum laude with an A.B. in English Literature. Career From 1982 to 1984, Hall bicycled through western and eastern Europe, camping out most of the time. Based on his experiences in Eastern Europe, Hall wrote his first book, ''Stealing From a Deep Place'' (published by Hill and Wang, 1988), which was shortlisted for the Thomas Cook Travel Book Award. His first novel, ''The Dreamers'' (Harper and Row, 1989), tells the story of an American graduate student studying the Anschluss in Vienna, who gets into a rather tortured affair with an Austrian woman and her young, fatherless son. Brian Hall (16 September 1929 – 27 February 1989) was an English first-class cricketer, who played a single first-class match for Yorkshire, against the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) at Lord's, in the early part of the 1952 season. A right arm medium fast bowler, he opened the bowling and took the single wicket of Maurice Tremlett. Batting at number 11 he scored 4 and 10, as Yorkshire collapsed to an innings defeat. He also caught Freddie Brown off the bowling of Brian Close. Hall also played for the Yorkshire Second XI from 1952 to 1956. Brian Charles Hall (born 2 March 1934) is a former English cricketer who played first-class cricket for Worcestershire, making a total of three appearances (none of them in the County Championship) in 1956 and 1957. Hall played a few times for Middlesex's Second XI in 1954 and 1955, but he never made a first-class appearance for the county. His debut came at the end of June 1956 when Worcestershire played Oxford University; he took all three of his first-class wickets in this game, dismissing Jimmy Allan twice, and made his highest score of 21 in the first innings. The 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Four was an international limited-overs cricket tournament held in Los Angeles from 29 October – 5 November 2016. It was the fifth edition of WCL Division Four, and the first World Cricket League tournament played in the United States. All matches were played at the Leo Magnus Cricket Complex. The tournament was won by the United States, who defeated Oman in the final by 13 runs. Both the finalists were promoted to the 2017 Division Three tournament. Brian Hall (22 November 1946 – 16 July 2015) was a Scottish footballer who played as a midfielder. He won six domestic and UEFA trophies with Liverpool in the 1970s. He then played for Plymouth Argyle and Burnley. Background Hall was born in Glasgow and raised in Lancashire. He had trials with each of Blackburn Rovers, Bolton Wanderers and Preston North End in his teens. Brian Samuel Hall (9 March 1939 – September 2002) was an English footballer who played for Mansfield Town and Colchester United between 1958 and 1973. Hall made 361 appearances and scored 38 goals in eight years with Colchester. Brian Hall (born June 5, 1961) is an American former soccer referee from northern California. He started his professional career as an assistant referee in the NASL at age 19. Hall was a FIFA referee from 1992 until he retired in 2007 at the mandatory retirement age of 45. He refereed two games in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. He was also named Major League Soccer Referee of the Year in 2003, 2005 2006, and 2007. Hall served as the US Soccer Manager of Referee Assessment and Training until 2010. Mount Hood climbing accidents are incidents related to mountain climbing or hiking on Oregon's Mount Hood. As of 2007, about 10,000 people attempt to climb the mountain each year. As of May 2002, more than 130 people are known to have died climbing Mount Hood since records have been kept. One of the worst climbing accidents occurred in 1986, when seven teenagers and two school teachers froze to death while attempting to retreat from a storm.
