Brian Frisselle
Brian Frisselle (born 28 December 1983) is an American former racing driver. Career 275px, Frisselle at Road America in 2011 Frisselle competed full-time for eight years in the Rolex Sports Car Series, alongside a part-time season in 2012. In 2008, Frisselle's third year in the series, he won his first race, at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. At the time, Frisselle's victory was the closest in series history at 0.064 seconds, as the leading car ran out of fuel on the way to the finish. He followed that up with a second victory the following week at Watkins Glen, leading 79 of 82 laps. Prior to the 2009 Rolex Sports Car Series season, Frisselle joined SunTrust Racing in the Daytona Prototype class. For the 2013 Rolex Sports Car Series season, Frisselle joined Action Express Racing in the Daytona Prototype class. Daytona Prototype
A Daytona Prototype is a type of sports prototype racing car developed specifically for the Grand American Road Racing Association's Rolex Sports Car Series as their top class of car, which replaced their main prototype racing class, specifically Le Mans Prototypes (LMPs). The cars later competed in the merged series of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, from 2014-2016, before being phased out and replaced by the Daytona Prototype International class in 2017. They are named after the main series event, the Rolex 24 at Daytona. The 2014 IMSA Tudor United SportsCar Championship (TUSC) was the inaugural season of the International Motor Sports Association's new series created out of a merger of the Rolex Sports Car Series and the American Le Mans Series and the first to be held under the name as the Tudor United SportsCar Championship. The 2011 Rolex Sports Car Series season was the twelfth season of Grand-Am's premier series. Continental Tire became the official tire partner for Grand-Am, replacing Pirelli after three seasons due to Pirelli's departure to FIA Formula One, GP2 Asia Series and GP2 Series (now FIA Formula 2 Championship) as well as increasing GP3 Series (now FIA Formula 3 Championship) involvement as an official tire partner after FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting verdict event in Geneva, Switzerland on June 24, 2010. The 2010 Rolex Sports Car Series season was the 11th season of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The 2008 Rolex Sports Car Series season was the ninth season of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Cask No. 16. The 14-race championship for Daytona Prototypes (DP) and 13-race championship for Grand Touring (GT) cars began January 26, 2008 and concluded on September 20, 2008. The 2007 Rolex Sports Car Series season was the eighth season of the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series presented by Crown Royal Special Reserve.
