Brian Deacon
Brian Deacon (born 13 February 1949) is a British actor, known for portraying Jesus in the 1979 film ''Jesus'', which was made by the evangelical organization the Jesus Film Project. Deacon was chosen for the part out of a field of 900 actors screen tested by producer John Heyman. Deacon has also portrayed Heumac in ''The Feathered Serpent'' (1976, 1978), Frank Miles in the 1978 TV series '' Lillie'', and appeared with his brother, Eric, in the Peter Greenaway film, ''A Zed & Two Noughts'' (1985), as Oswald Deuce. Between 1992 and 1993, he played the role of The Rt Hon. Neil Kincaid in British soap opera Emmerdale, the lover of established character Kim Tate (Claire King). Personal life Deacon was born in Oxford, where he later trained at the Oxford Youth Theatre. He has been married twice, firstly to Rula Lenska (1977-1987), with whom he had a daughter, Lara Parker Deacon. In 1998 he married Natalie Bloch. ''Separate Tables'' is the collective name of two one-act plays by Terence Rattigan, both taking place in the Beauregard Private Hotel, Bournemouth, on the south coast of England. The first play, titled ''Table by the Window'', focuses on the troubled relationship between a disgraced Labour politician and his ex-wife. The second play, ''Table Number Seven'', is set about 18 months after the events of the previous play, and deals with the touching friendship between a repressed spinster and Major Pollock, a kindly but bogus man posing as an upper-class retired army officer. The ''BBC Television Shakespeare'' is a series of British television adaptations of Shakespeare's plays, the plays of William Shakespeare, created by Cedric Messina and broadcast by BBC Television. Transmitted in the UK from 3 December 1978 to 27 April 1985, it spanned seven series and thirty-seven episodes. ''Leap in the Dark'' was a British television anthology series with a supernatural theme. It was broadcast on BBC Two, BBC 2. It ran for 4 seasons - in 1973, 1975, 1977 and 1980 - consisting of 24 episodes in total. The first-season episodes were documentaries, seasons 2 & 3 were presented by Colin Wilson and consisted of docudramas re-enacting real-life cases of paranormal occurrences, and season 4 was original dramas, including episodes written by Alan Garner, Fay Weldon, and David Rudkin. ''Churchill's People'' is a series of 26 historical dramas produced by the BBC, based on Winston Churchill's ''A History of the English-Speaking Peoples''. They were first broadcast on BBC1 in 1974 and 1975. It was produced to mark the centenary of Churchill's birth. The series was considered misconceived for multiple reasons, such as the studio-bound production which offered little in the way of realism and the lack of available funding. Each episode dealt with a particular period in British history, and the quality was consequently variable. Much of the acting was criticised, despite the involvement of Richard Johnson, Robert Hardy, Alan Howard, Colin Blakely, Anna Massey, Gemma Jones, and Edward Fox, amongst others. A vampire is a mythical creature that subsists by feeding on the Vitalism, vital essence (generally in the form of blood) of the living. ''Public Eye'' is a British television drama series that ran from 1965 to 1975, for a total of seven series. It was produced by ABC Weekend TV for three series, and Thames Television for a further four. The series depicted the cases and investigations handled by the enquiry agent Frank Marker (Alfred Burke), an unmarried loner who is in his early forties when the series begins. The title is a twist on the more usual "private eye".
