Brian Newton Davis (28 October 1934 – 22 June 1998) was the Anglican Bishop of Waikato from 1980 to 1986 and Archbishop and Primate of New Zealand and Bishop of Wellington from 1986 to 1997. Biography Childhood and education Davis was born in Stratford, New Zealand and underwent secondary education at Stratford High School, Taranaki. He studied to be a teacher at Ardmore Training College, Papakura and then went on to study a M.A.(Hons) in geography at Victoria University of Wellington. He also studied at College House, Christchurch, before finally completing his studies at St John's College, Auckland in order to become an Anglican priest. Brian Keith Davis (born June 21, 1970) is an American former basketball player and businessman. A 6'7" guard-forward, Davis played college basketball at Duke Blue Devils and was a member of the 1991 and 1992 national championship teams. After graduation, Davis was drafted by the Phoenix Suns of the National Basketball Association (NBA) but played in the Ligue Nationale de Basketball with Élan Béarnais Pau-Orthez during the 1992–93 season. He made his NBA debut with the Minnesota Timberwolves for the 1993–94 season. Davis played in 68 NBA games, averaged 5.5 minutes per game, and scored a total of 131 career points (1.9 per game). Brian Lester Davis (born 2 August 1974) is an English professional golfer. Davis was born in London. He turned professional in 1994 and became a member of the European Tour in 1997. He performed steadily for his first six seasons on the Tour, and won the 2000 Peugeot Open de España. In 2003, despite not winning a tournament, he had his best season by far to that time, finishing ninth on the European Tour Order of Merit. Brian Davis is a former television play-by-play announcer, most recently of the Oklahoma City Thunder, an NBA franchise based in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Brian John Davis (7 July 1934 – 31 August 2018) was an Australian politician. He was an Australian Labor Party member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly from 1969 to 1974 and from 1977 to 1989. He was born in Toowoomba to Richard Davis and Constance Mary, ''née'' Quinlan. He attended Catholic schools, and worked as a van salesman, a taxi proprietor, a truck driver and a taxi driver before entering politics. As an official with the Transport Workers Union, he was a member of the Labor Party, serving as president of the Fortitude Valley branch and state president of the Young Labor Association (1963).
