Brian Anderson (electrical Engineer)
Brian David Outram Anderson (born 15 January 1941) is Professor in the Research School of Information Sciences and Engineering at the Australian National University. His research interests include circuits, signal processing and control, and his current work focuses on distributed control of multi-agent systems, sensor network localization, adaptive and non-linear control. Professor Anderson served as President of the Australian Academy of Science from 1998 to 2002. Anderson was elected as a member into the National Academy of Engineering in 2002 for his contributions to system and control theory, and for international leadership in promoting engineering science and technology. Dianne Anderson is Brian's wife. They both live in Canberra. Brian Anderson (born 9 July 1961) is a British former boxer who was British middleweight champion between 1986 and 1987. Since retiring from boxing he has worked for Her Majesty's Prison Service. Brian Anderson (born 22 May 1939) is an Irish boxer. He competed in the men's light welterweight event at the 1964 Summer Olympics. Biography Anderson was born in Carrickmagrath, Ballybofey, County Donegal, Ireland. In 1958 Anderson went to London where he joined Middle Row Boxing Club. Boxing as a novice, Anderson won the North London Divisional Championships as bantamweight. He later moved up to featherweight, and at this level won the All-London Championships. He left the sport in 1961, but returned to win the lightweight division in 1962. In May 1964 British Amateur Boxing Association Championships Anderson, now at light-welterweight, defeated the Scottish boxer and Olympic medallist Dick McTaggart in the semi-final, but was controversially beaten by Robert Taylor in the final. Brian Anderson is a retired Scottish rugby Union referee who took charge of nineteen major international matches. The international matches that he officiated over took place between 1985 and 1991 and included matches at the first two Rugby World Cups. When he retired in 1991, he had refereed the most internationals by any Scot. Refereeing career His first international match in charge was a Five Nations Championship match between Wales and England on 17 January 1981 at Cardiff Arms Park. Brian Anderson (born June 7, 1971) is an American sportscaster. Since 2007, he has called play-by-play for the Milwaukee Brewers' telecasts on Bally Sports Wisconsin. As a part of his work on the 2007 ''Brewers Preview Show'', Anderson and the Bally's team were awarded a regional Emmy Award. Anderson also calls NCAA tournament basketball for Turner Sports, regular season NCAA basketball for FOX Sports and the Big Ten Network, MLB games for TBS, NBA games for TNT, and "The Match" golf franchise for TNT. Brian Wade Anderson (born May 19, 1993) is an American professional baseball third baseman and right fielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB).
