Brexitcast
''Brexitcast'' is a British political talkshow and television programme produced by BBC Radio 5 Live and BBC News. It was launched on 5 June 2017 following the success of ''Electioncast'', a podcast that had covered that year's general election. Originally aired on radio, it was announced on 3 June 2019 that ''Brexitcast'' had been commissioned as a television programme for BBC One. It was the first BBC podcast to be commissioned for television. The first televised edition of ''Brexitcast'' aired on BBC One and the BBC News channel on 12 September 2019, and was later briefly accompanied by the daily ''Electioncast'' which returned as a daily podcast for the duration of the 2019 general election. On 5 January 2020 it was announced that ''Brexitcast'' would be renamed ''Newscast'' after the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union on 31 January. Adam Fleming (journalist)
Robert Adam Fleming (born 2 April 1980) is a Scottish journalist and chief political correspondent for BBC News. He was formerly its Brussels correspondent, and has previously worked for ''Daily Politics'' and '' Newsround''. He co-presented the podcast and television programme '' Brexitcast'', before becoming co-presenter of its successor, ''Newscast''. Early life Fleming was born in 1980 in Glasgow and educated there at Hutchesons' Grammar School, an independent school, from 1989 to 1998. He went on to Hertford College at Oxford University where he studied geography, graduating in 2001 with a first class degree. Whilst at Oxford, Fleming edited ''The Oxford Student'' newspaper and worked in local radio. It is the most listened to podcast on BBC Sounds and consistently ranks as the most popular news podcast in the United Kingdom. Christopher Richard Mason (born 21 April 1980) is a British journalist, who has been the political editor of BBC News since 2022. He is also a presenter of the podcast and television programme ''Newscast'' (formerly ''Brexitcast''). He was formerly the BBC's political correspondent. Laura Kuenssberg
Laura Juliet Kuenssberg (born 8 August 1976) is a British journalist who currently presents the BBC's flagship Sunday morning politics show. She succeeded Nick Robinson as political editor of BBC News in July 2015, and was the first woman to hold the position. Michal Katya Adler (born 3 May 1972) is a British journalist. She has been the BBC's Europe editor since 2014. Early life Adler was born on 3 May 1972 in Hampstead, north London, to German parents. She attended the independent, fee-paying South Hampstead High School. She studied German and Italian at the University of Bristol. ''This Week'' is a BBC One current affairs and politics TV programme, and was screened late on Thursday evenings. It was hosted by former ''Sunday Times'' editor Andrew Neil, with a panel of two commentators, one each from the right and left of the political spectrum. Rob Burley (born 1969) is an English television producer, formerly the BBC's editor of live political programmes.
