Brett Boyko
Brett Boyko (born August 4, 1992) is a professional Canadian football offensive lineman who is a free agent. He most recently played for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He has also been a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and San Diego / Los Angeles Chargers of the National Football League (NFL), San Diego Fleet of the Alliance of American Football (AAF), and BC Lions of the CFL. He played college football at UNLV. Professional career CFL and NFL Drafts Prior to the 2015 NFL Draft Boyko gained interest from several NFL teams and he also participated in the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, in February 2015. Boyko was ranked as the number one overall prospect in the Canadian Football League Scouting Bureau's September rankings heading into the 2015 CFL Draft and later fell to 2nd place in the December rankings. Offensive Lineman
In gridiron football, a lineman is a player who specializes in play at the line of scrimmage. The linemen of the team currently in possession of the ball are the offensive line, while linemen on the opposing team are the defensive line. A number of NFL rules specifically address restrictions and requirements for the offensive line, whose job is to help protect the quarterback from getting sacked for a loss, or worse, fumbling. The 2015 NFL Draft was the 80th annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. It took place in Chicago at the Auditorium Theatre and in Grant Park, from April 30 to May 2. The previous fifty NFL drafts (since 1965) had been held in New York City. 2020 CFL Season
The 2020 CFL season would have been the 67th season of modern-day Canadian football. Officially, it would have been the 63rd season of the Canadian Football League. It was originally scheduled to begin on June 11; on April 7, the start of the season was delayed to begin no sooner than July due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada. The CFL planned to obtain financial assistance from the federal government. In May, the CFL delayed the season to no sooner than September, and announced that the Grey Cup was to be played as a home advantage game rather than as a neutral site game in Regina, Saskatchewan, as originally planned.
