Brett Boyd
Brett Boyd (born 28 March 1972) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played for Canberra, Penrith and North Queensland. Biography Boyd, a , played his junior football in Goulburn and was a member of Canberra's under 21s premiership in 1990. In his first season in 1991 he appeared in 13 first-grade games for Canberra, including three finals. He featured in Canberra's preliminary final win over North Sydney, but wasn't used in the grand final loss to Penrith, the club he went on to join in the 1992 season. Having been an understudy to Steve Walters at Canberra, he was the first choice hooker at Penrith, playing 93 first-grade games in seven seasons. The Canberra Raiders are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the national capital city of Canberra, Australian Capital Territory. They have competed in Australasia's elite rugby league competition, the National Rugby League (NRL) premiership since 1982. The Penrith Panthers are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in the western Sydney suburb of Penrith that competes in the NRL. The team is based west of the centre of Sydney, at the foot of the Blue Mountains. Penrith are the current reigning NRL Premiers, having won the title four times. Steve Walters
Steve Walters (born 28 August 1965), also known by the nickname of "Boxhead", is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s who at the peak of his career was considered the best in the game. An Australian Kangaroos and Queensland Maroons representative, he played in the Canberra Raiders' 1st, 2nd and 3rd NSWRL grand final victories. Tim Sheens
Tim Sheens (born 30 October 1950) is an Australian professional rugby league football coach and former player. Head Coach of the Australia national team between 2009 and 2015, he has also been the head coach of National Rugby League (NRL) clubs, the Penrith Panthers, the Canberra Raiders, the North Queensland Cowboys and the Wests Tigers. As a player, Sheens was a prop forward with Sydney's Penrith club in the 1970s and 1980s before he retired and became their coach. Sheens returned to the Wests Tigers in 2021 as the Head of Football Operations. He then coached the Raiders, taking them to victory in the 1989, 1990 and 1994 premierships. With the Tigers he won the 2005 premiership.
