''Live at Queen Elizabeth Hall'' is a live recording of Brett Anderson Brett Lewis Anderson (born 29 September 1967) is an English singer best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the band Suede. After Suede disbanded in 2003, he fronted The Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler in 2004-2 ...'s 20 October 2007 concert at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, London. It comes on 2 CDs and was limited to 1500 copies. It was made available to concert-goers at the concert minutes after the conclusion of the set. This is the third and final live recording to be released from Brett's first solo album, and was recorded at the first of two special performances at Queen Elizabeth Hall to promote the album. As well as solo material the concert concluded with acoustic and electric versions of Suede tracks. No track-listing comes with the album. Brett Anderson
Brett Lewis Anderson (born 29 September 1967) is an English singer best known as the lead vocalist and primary lyricist of the band Suede. After Suede disbanded in 2003, he fronted The Tears with former Suede guitarist Bernard Butler in 2004-2006, and released four solo albums in which he also played guitar and keyboards. Anderson is known for his distinctive wide-ranging voice, poetic lyrics, energetic and charismatic stage presence and, during Suede's early days, an androgynous appearance. Suede re-formed in 2010; they continue to record and tour. Bassist Mat Osman and Anderson are the remaining original members since the band's inception, and along with drummer Simon Gilbert have appeared on all Suede albums. Wilderness (Brett Anderson Album)
''Wilderness'' is the second studio album by the English singer Brett Anderson. Background ''Wilderness'' was created with minimal use of instrumentation and studio production. Singer Brett Anderson opted for a pared-back sound, singing and playing piano alongside cellist Amy Langley. ''Wilderness'' was recorded in only seven days, with most tracks recorded as live takes. The cover photograph is by Allan Jenkins. Anderson is keen to make the live shows of ''Wilderness'' symbolise an intimate affair. "The live shows will be very minimalist with just myself and a cello player on stage." Speaking on the album’s much lower media profile compared with his previous work, Anderson said: "I have no record company, no publisher and a smaller audience but I have never been more confident and focused about what I am doing as an artist." Suede (band)
Suede (also known in the US as The London Suede) are an English rock band formed in London in 1989 by singer Brett Anderson, guitarist Justine Frischmann, and bass player Mat Osman. Drawing inspiration from glam rock and post-punk, Suede were dubbed "The Best New Band in Britain" by ''Melody Maker'' in 1992, and attracted much attention from the British music press. The following year their debut album ''Suede'' went to the top of the UK Albums Chart, becoming the fastest-selling debut album in almost ten years.
