Brett Anderson (baseball)
Brett Franklin Anderson (born February 1, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher who is a free agent. He has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Oakland Athletics, Colorado Rockies, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago Cubs, Toronto Blue Jays and Milwaukee Brewers. Early life He attended Stillwater High School in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where he was an all-state selection in 2006, his senior year. He was 9–0 that season with a 0.37 ERA, 102 strikeouts and only nine walks in 57 innings. He played in the American Amateur Baseball Congress, Connie Mack World Series with his amateur team after both his junior and senior seasons and in the 2005 Aflac#Award programs, AFLAC High School All-American Game, where he was the winning pitcher. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk. Frank Anderson (born February 14, 1959) is an American college baseball coach and former outfielder. He is the pitching coach at the University of Tennessee. Anderson played college baseball at Mid-Plains Junior College from 1979 to 1980 and University of Nebraska at Kearney from 1981 to 1982. He served as the head coach at Oklahoma State University from 2004 to 2013.
