Trafford is a metropolitan borough of Greater Manchester, England, with an estimated population of 235,493 in 2017. Urmston
Urmston is a town in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England, which had a population of 41,825 at the 2011 Census. Historically in Lancashire, it is southwest of Manchester city centre. The southern boundary is the River Mersey, with Stretford lying to the east and Flixton to the west. Davyhulme lies to the north of the town centre. Urmston covers an area of 4,799 acres (19 km2). The town has early medieval origins, and until the arrival of the railway in 1873 was a small farming community. The railway acted as a catalyst, transforming the town into a residence for the middle classes. Sale High School (formerly known as Jeff Joseph Sale Moor Technology College and Sale Secondary School) is a secondary school in Sale Moor, Greater Manchester, England. North Cestrian School
North Cestrian School, formerly North Cestrian Grammar School, is a free school in Altrincham, Greater Manchester, England, for pupils aged between 11 and 16. North Cestrian is part of the Hamblin Educational Trust. History The school was opened in 1951 by Walter Hamblin, formerly headmaster of Altrincham Grammar School for Boys, with 26 pupils. In 2004, the library was named after him. The school was originally to be named North Cheshire Grammar School, but this was not permitted by the county education authorities as the school was not government-owned. Lostock High School (previously known as Lostock College) is a mixed, 11-16 secondary modern school in Stretford, Greater Manchester, England. The school has a capacity of 740 and currently enrols 328 students. History From 2010 to 2013, there were plans to merge Lostock College (as it was then known) with Stretford High School to create a new academy. These plans faced significant opposition from parents at both schools as well as students at Lostock. Ashton-on-Mersey School is a secondary school in Ashton upon Mersey, Greater Manchester, England. The school is an academy, part of The Dean Trust which includes Broadoak School and Lord Derby Academy in Huyton. Hale, Greater Manchester
Hale is a suburb and electoral ward within the Metropolitan Borough of Trafford, in Greater Manchester, England. The population of the village taken at the 2011 Census was 15,315. It is contiguous with the southeast of Altrincham, about southwest of the city of Manchester. Located within the boundaries of the historic county of Cheshire, the earliest documented reference to Hale is in the ''Domesday Book'' of 1086, although the name of the settlement is probably as old as 7th or 8th century.
