Brent LeCras
Brent Phillip LeCras (born 12 October 1981) is a former Australian rules football player who played in the Australian Football League for the Kangaroos. He was originally recruited from Cervantes. After being drafted in 2003, LeCras played six matches for the Kangaroos between 2005 and 2006. He returned to play for West Perth Football Club in the West Australian Football League. In total, he played 141 games and kicked 138 goals for the Falcons since making his debut in 2002. He received the 2003 Simpson Medal for best-on-ground in the WAFL Grand Final, and the 2009 Simpson Medal for his performance in the WAFL state game against the SANFL. 2001 AFL Draft
The 2001 AFL draft consisted of a state draft, a body draft, a pre-season draft and a trade period. The AFL draft is the annual draft of players by Australian rules football teams that participate in the main competition of that sport, the Australian Football League (AFL). In 2001 there were 83 picks to be drafted between 16 teams in the national draft. The West Coast Eagles are a professional Australian rules football club based in Perth, Western Australia. The club was founded in 1986 as one of two expansion teams in the Australian Football League (AFL), then known as the Victorian Football League. The club plays its home games at Perth Stadium and has its headquarters at Lathlain Park. The West Australian Football Commission wholly owns the West Coast Eagles and the Fremantle Football Club, the AFL's other Western Australian team. The East Fremantle Football Club, nicknamed the Sharks, is an Australian rules football club playing in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW). Mark LeCras (born 30 August 1986) is a former Australian rules footballer who played for the West Coast Eagles in the Australian Football League (AFL). He was predominantly used as a small forward, though he has occasionally played in the midfield. He won an AFL Premiership with West Coast in 2018, his last season. His father played senior football for in the West Australian Football League (WAFL), and his brother, Brent LeCras, played for in the AFL. His cousins, Toby, Ashley and Cory McGrath, also played senior football in the WAFL and AFL. He made his debut for West Coast late in the 2005 season, and played his first full season in 2007.
