Brennen Davis
Brennen Davis (born November 2, 1999) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball (MLB). He was selected by the Cubs in the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. Amateur career Davis attended Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona, where he played baseball and basketball. He committed to play college baseball at the University of Miami. Following his senior year, he was selected by the Chicago Cubs in the second round of the 2018 Major League Baseball draft. He signed for $1.1 million. Professional career Davis made his professional debut with the Rookie-level Arizona League Cubs, hitting .298 over 18 games in 2018. He spent the 2019 season with the South Bend Cubs of the Class A Midwest League, slashing .305/.381/.525 with eight home runs and thirty RBIs over fifty games. Iowa Cubs
The Iowa Cubs are a Minor League Baseball team of the International League and the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs. They are located in Des Moines, Iowa, and are named for their Major League Baseball (MLB) affiliate. The Cubs play their home games at Principal Park, which opened in 1992. They previously played at Sec Taylor Stadium from 1969 to 1991. The club was established as the Iowa Oaks of the Triple-A American Association (1902–1997), American Association in 1969. Midwest League
The Midwest League is a Minor League Baseball league established in 1947 and based in the Midwestern United States. A Class A league for most of its history, the league was promoted to High-A as part of Major League Baseball's 2021 reorganization of the minor leagues. The Midwest League began as the Illinois State League (1947–1948) and then became the Mississippi–Ohio Valley League (1949–1955). Reginald Wayne Theus (born October 13, 1957) is an American basketball coach and former player. He played 13 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA), where he was a two-time NBA All-Star. He is currently the head men's basketball head coach and athletic director at Bethune–Cookman. He was the head coach for the NBA's Sacramento Kings and in college with the New Mexico State Aggies and the Cal State Northridge Matadors men's teams. The International League (IL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the United States. Along with the Pacific Coast League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). The league traces its roots to 1884, while the modern IL began in 1912. Following MLB's reorganization of the minor leagues in 2021, it operated as the Triple-A East for one season before switching back to its previous moniker in 2022. It is so named because throughout its history the International League had teams in Canada and Cuba as well as those in the United States.
