Brendan Smith (born 1 June 1956) is an Irish Fianna Fáil politician who has served as Chairman of the Fianna Fáil Parliamentary Party since May 2016. He has been a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Cavan–Monaghan constituency since 1992. He previously served as Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade from 2016 to 2020, Minister for Justice and Law Reform from January 2011 to March 2011, Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from 2008 to 2011, Minister of State for Children from 2007 to 2008 and Minister of State at the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food from 2004 to 2007. Early life Born in Cavan in 1956, Smith was educated at Bawnboy National School, St. Camillus College, Killucan, County Westmeath, and University College, Dublin, where he gained a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and Economics. Brendan Powell Smith
The Brick Testament is a project created by Elbe Spurling in which Bible stories are illustrated using still photographs of dioramas constructed entirely out of Lego bricks. The project began as a website in October 2001 that featured six stories from the Book of Genesis, and is completely unaffiliated with the Lego company. There is also a Brick Testament book series. Throughout stories are retold using passages from the Bible, with chapter and verse cited, the wording being a free adaptation that Spurling says is based on a number of public domain Bible translations. Occasionally, mostly when images are being used to contrast with the underlying scripture, Spurling dramatizes the images with additional text. Such text is displayed in gray instead of the usual black. Authorial commentary Spurling's own commentary occasionally appears in illustrations and is displayed in gray text, and also as original titles for the stories themselves. Brendan Smith (ice Hockey)
Brendan Smith (born February 8, 1989) is a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman for the New Jersey Devils of the National Hockey League (NHL). Although he is listed as a defenceman, Smith is a versatile player who can also play forward. Smith was drafted 27th overall by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft and was previously a finalist for the Hobey Baker Award. Playing career Prior to the 2007 Draft, Smith was a member of the Ontario Provincial Junior A Hockey League's St. Michael's Buzzers. In 2007, he finished his second season with St. Michael's leading all defencemen in points with 36. Smith was selected to participate in the CJAHL All-Star Game in 2006. Smith played for Canada East at the World Junior A Challenge 2006, helping his team win silver. The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the BBC soap opera ''EastEnders'' in 1987, by order of first appearance. Tina Hopkins Tina Hopkins, played by Eleanor Rhodes, is introduced as Ian Beale's (Adam Woodyatt) girlfriend in February 1987. Ian's friend Kelvin Carpenter (Paul J. Medford) takes a romantic interest in Tina and makes advances towards her, which she shuns.
