Brendan O'Brien (bishop)
Brendan Michael O'Brien (born September 28, 1943) is a Canadians, Canadian prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He served as Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kingston in Canada, Archbishop of Kingston from 2007 to 2019. He was previously Roman Catholic Archdiocese of St. John's, Newfoundland, Archbishop of St. John's (Newfoundland) and Roman Catholic Diocese of Pembroke, Bishop of Pembroke (Ontario). Early life and ministry Brendan Michael O'Brien was born in Ottawa, the oldest of the seven children of Redmond and Margaret (née Foran) O'Brien. He attended the University of Ottawa and St. Paul University, from where he earned his Licentiate (degree), licentiates in philosophy and Licentiate in Theology, theology, before being Holy Orders, ordained to the Priesthood (Catholic Church), priesthood on June 1, 1968, at St George's Church (Ottawa). Brendan O'Brien was once a journalist on RTÉ One's ''Prime Time'' current affairs programme, he worked for RTE from 1973 until 2002. In 1983, O'Brien won a Jacob's Award for his reporting on the RTÉ current affairs programme, ''Today Tonight''. Brendan O'Brien is an American screenwriter, best known for writing 2014 film '' Neighbors'' along with Andrew J. Cohen. Early life and education O'Brien and his screenwriter-director friend Andrew J. Cohen were both born and grew up in Scarsdale, New York, and both went to Scarsdale Middle School, where they became friends in the sixth grade. O'Brien graduated from Georgetown University. Career In 2014, O'Brien co-wrote the script for the comedy film '' Neighbors'' along with Cohen, starring Zac Efron and Seth Rogen. The film was directed by Nicholas Stoller and released on May 9, 2014.
