Brendan Michael Hamill (born 18 September 1992) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Indian Super League club ATK Mohun Bagan. Club career Hamill played for the Australian Institute of Sport in the 2009–10 A-League National Youth League where they failed to win a single game. Hamill was selected for the 'Come Play XI' which was thrown together in order to play a friendly against Melbourne Victory as a testimonial game for Kevin Muscat. Melbourne Heart On 23 April 2010 Hamill rejected numerous offers from English Premier League clubs to sign his first professional contract with Melbourne Heart along with fellow U-20 players, Kliment Taseski and Eli Babalj. Indian Super League
The Indian Super League (ISL) is an Indian professional league for men's association football clubs. At the top of the Indian football league system, it is the country's primary football competition. Organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), and their commercial partners Football Sports Development Limited (FSDL), it is officially known as Hero Indian Super League for sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp. The league currently comprises 11 clubs. Each season of the tournament generally runs from October to March. During the league stage of the competition, each club plays against all the other clubs in a round-robin style. 2022 Durand Cup
The 2022 Durand Cup, also known as IndianOil Durand Cup due to sponsorship ties with Indian Oil Corporation, was the 131st edition of Durand Cup, the oldest football tournament in Asia, and also the first edition since it was recognised by the Asian Football Confederation. This year for the first time the tournament was played in more than one venue. The tournament is hosted by the Durand Football Tournament Society in co-operation with the Eastern Command of the Indian Armed Forces and the Government of West Bengal, supported by the governments Assam and Manipur. ATK Mohun Bagan FC () is an Indian professional football club based in Kolkata, West Bengal. The club competes in Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club, which was formed as a merger between the football section of multi-sport club Mohun Bagan AC and the ATK FC, began to play from the 2020–21 season as ATK Mohun Bagan FC. Tony Popovic
Tony Popovic (born 4 July 1973) is an Australian association football manager and former player. He is the current manager of A-League club Melbourne Victory. As a player Popovic's usual position was centre-back. Starting in 1989 at Sydney United he went on to play for Sanfrecce Hiroshima of Japan and Premier League side Crystal Palace, among other clubs. He appeared with the Australian national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup, where he played against reigning World Champions Brazil. Popovic started his coaching career in 2008 with Sydney FC. A-League Men (known as the Isuzu UTE A-League for sponsorship reasons) is the highest-level professional men's soccer league in Australia and New Zealand. At the top of the Australian league system, it is the country's premier men's competition for the sport. Eli Babalj (born 21 February 1992) is an Australian footballer who plays as a striker. Alongside Robert Cornthwaite and Sasa Ognenovski, Babalj, at 1.95 m is the joint third tallest player to have represented the Australia national association football team, behind Zeljko Kalac (2.02 m) and Harry Souttar (1.98 m). Kliment Taseski (born 27 May 1991) is an Australian footballer who last played for Green Gully SC in the National Premier Leagues Victoria. Early life Taseski was born in Melbourne, and is the son of Macedonian former footballer Ilija Taseski, who played in the National Soccer League between 1985 and 1989. Before beginning his senior career, Taseski played junior football at Noble Park, and also had short stints at VIS and South Melbourne. Club career Taseski began his senior career with the Victorian Premier League club Altona Magic. Kevin Vincent Muscat (born 7 August 1973) is an Australian former association football player and the current manager of Yokohama F. Marinos. As a player, he represented the Australia national team at international level winning 46 caps and scoring 10 goals between 1994 and 2006.
