Brendan Hackett
Brendan Hackett (born 1960) is a Gaelic football manager, sports psychologist and former chief executive officer of Athletics Ireland, who is currently managing Ballymun Kickhams. He previously managed the Longford, Offaly and Westmeath county teams during the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s and 2010s. He has also trained the Ireland international rules football team and worked with numerous county teams as a psychologist during the 21st century. Career Hackett's first management role was Limerick's Thomond College at the age of 20 (1981–1983). As manager of Leixlip (1983–1985), one of his players was Jack O'Shea. Hackett managed Longford's senior footballers between 1987 and 1990, taking the role at the age of 26. Sport psychology was defined by the European Federation of Sport in 1996, as the study of the psychological basis, processes, and effects of sport. Otherwise, sport is considered as any physical activity where the individuals engage for competition and health. Sport psychology is recognized as an interdisciplinary science that draws on knowledge from many related fields including biomechanics, physiology, kinesiology and psychology. James Nolan (athlete)
James Nolan (born 27 January 1977) is an Irish athletics coach and a former international runner for the Republic of Ireland from 1996 until 2008. He was a two time Olympian who specialized in the 800 metres between 1996 and 2000 before changing to the 1500 metres later that year. He was a silver medalist in the 800 m race at the European Athletics U23 Championships in 1999 and runner up over 1500 metres at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2000. He competed twice at the World Championships in Athletics (2001, 2005), three times at the European Athletics Championships (1998, 2002, 2006) and six times at the IAAF World Indoor Championships. Promotion And Relegation
In sports leagues, promotion and relegation is a process where teams are transferred between multiple divisions based on their performance for the completed season. Leagues that use promotion and relegation systems are often called open leagues. In a system of promotion and relegation, the best-ranked team(s) in the lower division are ''promoted'' to the higher division for the next season, and the worst-ranked team(s) in the higher division are ''relegated'' to the lower division for the next season. In some leagues, playoffs or qualifying rounds are also used to determine rankings. Eoin Rheinisch
Eoin Rheinisch (born 21 February 1980 in Dublin) is an Irish slalom canoeist and three-time Olympic competitor. He competed at the international level from 1996 to 2013. He is from Leixlip, County Kildare. Olympic record Rheinisch competed at the Summer Olympic Games in 2004, 2008 and 2012. He competed in the 2004 Olympic K1 event where he finished 21st of 25 overall, exiting the competition after the heats. He came fourth in the 2008 Olympics K1 event. Tomás Ó Flatharta is a Gaelic football manager who is originally from County Kerry. He has managed three county teams: Westmeath, Galway and Laois.
