Brenda Marshall
Brenda Marshall (born Ardis Ankerson; September 29, 1915Some question exists regarding the exact date of her birth. An article in the December 31, 1939, issue of the ''Salt Lake Tribune'' says that she was born November 29, 1915. – July 30, 1992) was an American film actress. Career Marshall made her first film appearance as Ardis Gaines in ''Wives of Tomorrow'' (1937). Her initial billing as Brenda Marshall came in ''Espionage Agent'' (1939). The following year, she played the leading lady to Errol Flynn in ''The Sea Hawk''. After divorcing actor Richard Gaines in 1940, she married William Holden in 1941, and her own career soon slowed. She starred opposite James Cagney in ''Captains of the Clouds'' (1942). Marshall had a popular success in '' The Constant Nymph'' (1943), but she virtually retired after this, appearing in only four more films, including the Western ''Whispering Smith'' (1948). Esophageal cancer is cancer arising from the esophagus—the food pipe that runs between the throat and the stomach. Symptoms often include difficulty in swallowing and weight loss. Ted Shawn (born Edwin Myers Shawn; October 21, 1891 – January 9, 1972) was a male pioneer of American modern dance. He created the Denishawn School together with his wife Ruth St. Denis. After their separation he created the all-male company Ted Shawn and His Men Dancers.
