''Breaking Point'' is an American medical drama that aired on ABC from September 16, 1963, to April 27, 1964. The series, which was a spin-off of ''Ben Casey'', stars Paul Richards and Eduard Franz. The series was created by Meta Rosenberg. Synopsis Richards stars as Dr. McKinley Thompson, the chief resident in psychiatry at York Hospital, a fictitious hospital in Los Angeles. Eduard Franz co-starred as Dr. Edward Raymer, the hospital's psychiatric clinical director. ''Ben Casey'' is an American medical drama series that aired on ABC from 1961 to 1966. The show was known for its opening titles, which consisted of a hand drawing the symbols " ♂, ♀, ✳, †, ∞" on a chalkboard, as cast member Sam Jaffe uttered, "Man, woman, birth, death, infinity." Neurosurgeon Joseph Ransohoff served as a medical consultant for the show. Plot The series stars Vince Edwards as medical doctor Ben Casey, the young, intense, and idealistic neurosurgeon at County General Hospital. Monaural or monophonic sound reproduction (often shortened to mono) is sound intended to be heard as if it were emanating from one position.
