Breakfasters
''Breakfasters'' is a long-running Australian breakfast radio show broadcast on 3RRR in Melbourne. First broadcast in 1984, the current presenting line-up of Sarah Smith, Geraldine Hickey and Daniel Burt commenced on 13 May 2019. At launch, the program was presented by volunteers Chris Hatzis and Stratos Pavlis. In a departure from the station's usual freeform radio style, the program was more tightly presented and aimed at a broader audience than 3RRR's specialised music programming. Today, it is the station's flagship weekday program. 3RRR
3RRR (pronounced "Three Triple R", or simply "Triple R") is an Australian community radio station, based in Melbourne. 3RRR first commenced broadcasting in 1976 from the studios of 3ST, the student radio station of the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (now RMIT University), on an educational licence with the name 3RMT. In 1979 it relocated to Fitzroy, and adopted its present name. During the late 1970s and early 1980s, it became synonymous with the post punk and new wave subcultures. In late 2004, supporters raised enough money for the station to purchase and move into new premises on the corner of Blyth and Nicholson Streets in Brunswick East after the 20-year lease on their previous studios, in Victoria St, Fitzroy, expired. 3RRR's mission statement was defined in 1990 as "To educate, inform and entertain by drawing upon appropriate community resources. Tony Wilson (radio Presenter)
Tony Wilson is a Melbourne-based Australian radio and television personality, writer and public speaker. He gained notoriety as the winner of the second series of the ABC television show, ''Race Around the World'' in 1998, and has since become somewhat of a cult figure in Melbourne radio, television and print media. Jacinta Parsons
Jacinta Parsons is a radio broadcaster and writer from Melbourne, Australia who has worked at both community radio station Triple R and for both Double J and ABC Radio Melbourne. Radio Parsons began broadcasting at community radio station Triple R in 2006 on the Australian music show, Local and/or General, celebrating emerging local musicians. During her time at Triple R she also hosted Dynamite, Detour and Breakfasters. In 2015, Parsons moved to the ABC and joined the Double J team as the Music Director for ABC Local Radio. Geraldine Hickey
Geraldine Hickey is an Australian comedian, known for her work as co-host of the ''Breakfasters'' program on Melbourne community radio station 3RRR. Ben Birchall is a musician based in Melbourne, Victoria. He was a member of Klinger until it broke up and then he went solo, releasing an ep, ''Year of the Monkey'', in 2004. Julian "Jules" Schiller is an Australian TV and radio personality. Schiller currently hosts ''Drive'' on ABC Radio Adelaide. He previously worked at Nova 91.9, Triple M, Fox Sports, and The Project. Radio In 1993 Schiller started writing and performing radio serials at Melbourne community station 3RRR along with Tony Moclair. Sam Pang
Samuel Pang (born 3 November 1973) is an Australian comedian, radio and television presenter, writer and producer. Pang co-hosts '' Chrissie, Sam & Browny'' on Nova 100 with Chrissie Swan and Jonathan Brown and co-hosts ''The Front Bar'' with Mick Molloy and Andy Maher and is also a recurring panelist on Network 10's ''Have You Been Paying Attention?'' with Ed Kavalee.
