Consumed (band)
Consumed is an English punk rock band formed in 1992 in the outskirts of Nottingham. It was signed to Fat Wreck Chords, then moved to BYO Records and Golf Records shortly before the release of the album '' Pistols at Dawn''. The band toured the UK, Europe, Scandinavia, the U.S. and Canada and also appeared regularly at surf and skate festivals in the mid-to late-1990s. The band's first incarnation was called Desecrator (formed in 1989) which played death metal and released one album in 1991, titled ''Subconscious Release''. The track "Heavy Metal Winner" was used in the 2000 video game ''Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2'' and in the HD version, '' Tony Hawk's Pro Skater HD'', in 2012. It was added to the 2020 remake '' Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2''. It was also used in 2002 video game '' Totaled!''. The band broke up in 2003 but reformed in 2015 and is currently active. Melodic Hardcore
Melodic hardcore is a broadly defined subgenre of hardcore punk with a strong emphasis on melody in its guitar work. It generally incorporates fast rhythms, melodic and often distorted guitar riffs, and vocal styles tending towards shouting and screaming. Nevertheless, the genre has been very diverse, with different bands showcasing very different styles. Skate Punk
Skate punk (also known as skatecore and skate rock) is a skater subculture and punk rock subgenre that developed in the 1980s. Originally a form of hardcore punk that had been closely associated with skate culture, skate punk evolved into a more melodic genre of punk rock in the 1990s similar to pop punk. Since then, it has predominately featured fast tempos, lead guitar playing (including guitar riffs and guitar solos), fast drumming, and singing (sometimes including vocal harmonies). Andy Sneap
Andy Sneap (born 18 July 1969) is an English guitarist, record producer and composer with over 100 albums to his name, most of which have been produced at his Backstage Recording studios in rural Derbyshire. Some of the most critically acclaimed production work on albums include ''Deliverance'' by Opeth and ''Disarm the Descent'' by Killswitch Engage; for which he earned a Swedish Grammis and a US Grammy nomination, respectively. As a performer, he first built his reputation as one of the guitarists in the British thrash metal band Sabbat, and played with them up until their disbanding. He is currently one of the co-guitarists of the British heavy metal band Hell. In 2018 he joined Judas Priest as a touring guitarist, following long-time lead guitarist Glenn Tipton's diagnosis of Parkinson's disease which conflicts with his touring abilities.
