Breakfast Group
Professional Forum (), formerly known as the Breakfast Group () and The Alliance (), was a loose political group of the independent politicians in the Legislative Council in Hong Kong. In October 2012, the group formed the Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) with other LegCo members from the pro-business sectors. Breakfast Group The Breakfast Group was set up in 1991 in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong by Simon Ip Sik-on and Eric Li Ka-cheung and consisted of four other legislators elected through the functional constituencies or appointed by the Governor of Hong Kong. Business And Professionals Alliance For Hong Kong
The Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong (BPA) is a pro-business pro-Beijing political party in Hong Kong. Chaired by Lo Wai-kwok, the party is currently the second-largest party in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong, holding eight seats. It also has two representatives in the Executive Council and five seats in the District Councils. The Alliance came into existence on 7 October 2012 after the 2012 Legislative Council election, as a rebranding of a loose pro-business parliamentary group including Economic Synergy and Professional Forum, as well as two other nonpartisan legislators who mostly came from trade-based functional constituencies consisting of Hong Kong's leading chambers of commerce or business sectors. The Liberal Party (LP) is a pro-Beijing, pro-business, and conservative political party in Hong Kong. Led by Tommy Cheung and chaired by Peter Shiu, it holds four seats in the Legislative Council, and holds five seats in the District Councils. The Real Estate and Construction functional constituency () is a functional constituency (Hong Kong), functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong first created in 1991. The constituency is composed of 463 corporate members of the Real Estate Developers Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Construction Association, and Hong Kong E&M Contractors' Association to vote at general meetings of the Associations. Abraham Shek Lai-him GBS JP or Abraham Razack (; born Razack Ebrahim Abdul; 24 June 1945) is a former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong (Legco), representing the real estate and construction industry in a functional constituency seat. He is a member of the political grouping Business and Professionals Alliance for Hong Kong in Legco. He graduated from the University of Sydney in Australia. Razack is a businessman and former chief executive of the Land Development Corporation (now Urban Renewal Authority). The Architectural, Surveying, Planning and Landscape functional constituency () is a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. It was first created in 1985 as Engineering, Architectural, Surveying and Planning for the first ever Legislative Council election in 1985 as one of the original 12 functional constituency seats. The constituency was divided into Engineering and Architectural, Surveying and Planning in 1991. In the 2016 election, the constituency was changed to its current name when the landscape architects were added to the electorates. Kaizer Lau Ping-cheung, GBS (born 3 October 1951, Chiu Chow, Guangdong, China) is a surveyor and was the member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong in 2000–04 for the Architectural, Surveying and Planning constituency and non executive director of the Urban Renewal Authority. He is the fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Lau is also a non-official member of the Lantau Development Advisory Committee (LanDAC), which has controversially proposed developing Lantau Island to house up to one million residents (up from the current population of around 100,000). The Insurance functional constituency () is a functional constituency in the elections for the Legislative Council of Hong Kong first created in 1998. Being of the functional constituencies with fewest electorates, the constituency is restricted to only 126 insurers as of 2021. It corresponds to the Insurance Subsector in the Election Committee. Bernard Charnwut Chan GBM GBS JP (; 11 January 1965), is a Hong Kong politician and businessman. He served as Non-official Convenor of the Executive Council from 2017 to 2022. The Accountancy functional constituency () is a functional constituency seat in the Legislative Council of Hong Kong first created for the 1988 Legislative Council election, derived from the Financial functional constituency. In 2020, the constituency was composed of some 25,000 certified public accountants (CPAs) as compared to 222,000 citizens on average for the geographical constituencies. It is one of the swing seats between the pro-Beijing and pro-democracy camps. It had the largest field of candidates in the 2004 Legislative Council election among the functional constituencies with nine candidates running in the constituency. The Second Legislative Council of Hong Kong was the meeting of the legislative branch of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government. The membership of the LegCo is based on the 2000 election.
