Break Out The Battle Tapes
''Break out the Battle Tapes'' is the debut album from Wired All Wrong, a duo made up of Matt Mahaffey of Self and Jeff Turzo of God Lives Underwater. The album is notable for its unique production, particularly for its creative methods of editing explicit words. According to Turzo, this was done largely because he doesn't want to expose his young son to the harsh language on a few of the band's songs. There has been some backlash against this decision, but the band currently has no plans of releasing an explicit version of the album. Turzo has said that the songs that are edited will be released freely on the internet at some point for the fans that want them. The album was dedicated to the memory of Steve "Rocker" Richards, Michael Mahaffey, David Reilly, and Tim Turzo. God Lives Underwater
God Lives Underwater was an American rock band, formed during 1993 in Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania by vocalist/programmer David Reilly and guitarist/programmer Jeff Turzo. They were later joined by guitarist Andrew McGee and drummer Adam Kary (who was replaced by Scott Garrett in 1998). After recording a self-titled EP in late 1993 and self-distributing it the following year, the band signed to Rick Rubin's label American Recordings, and the EP was nationally released in early 1995. Later that same year, the band released the full-length album ''Empty''. God Lives Underwater then signed with A&M Records and released ''Life in the So-Called Space Age'' in 1998, which spawned their most successful single " From Your Mouth". Dwight Conroy Farrell (born August 25, 1973), better known by his stage name Count Bass D, is an American rapper, record producer and multi-instrumentalist who resides in Millheim, Pennsylvania. His production style is characterised by layers of short MPC samples and film snippets complemented with live instrumentation, and eccentric lyrics laid atop. Early life and education Farrell was born on August 25, 1973, and was raised in The Bronx and Canton, Ohio. At the age of four, his father, a West Indian minister, encouraged him to play music at his church. Farrell thereafter learned to play the piano, organ, drums, and bass. He then started gaining interest in hip-hop, becoming better at rhyming while rapping with friends. ''Burnout Paradise'' is a 2008 open world racing video game developed by Criterion Games and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. ''Burnout Dominator'' is a racing video game developed by EA UK and published by Electronic Arts for PlayStation 2 and PlayStation Portable. It retains the core gameplay of the series, as players race at top speeds through dozens of World Tour events testing "reckless skill-based" driving techniques. This is the only ''Burnout'' game that was not developed by Criterion Games, and the first ''Burnout'' game in the series since ''Burnout 2: Point of Impact'' to not feature the "Crash Mode". Self (stylized as sElf) is an American alternative pop rock band from Murfreesboro, Tennessee. The band is led by Matt Mahaffey. The band currently consists of Chris James (keyboards, piano, samplers, guitar, backing vocals), Mac Burrus (bass guitar, keyboards, horns, backing vocals), and Jason Rawlings (drums). Past members include Matt's brother, Mike Mahaffey (lead guitar, keyboards, vocals) and Timm Nobles (bass guitar). Wired All Wrong
Wired All Wrong is a nu metal band formed by musician/producers Matt Mahaffey of Self and Jeff Turzo previously of God Lives Underwater. The two have been longtime friends since a mix-up of their bands on MTV. Partly due to the unfortunate deaths of David Reilly from GLU and Mike Mahaffey from Self, Matt and Jeff were able to shift their attention away from their other bands. Their debut album, '' Break out the Battle Tapes'', came out on September 12, 2006. Break out the Battle Tapes Wired All Wrong released their first LP, '' Break out the Battle Tapes'', on September 12, 2006 which features the singles "Lost Angeles," "Nothing at All" and "Elevatin". Matt Mahaffey
Matt Mahaffey (born June 9, 1973) is an American multi-instrumentalist, record producer, composer, and recording engineer best known for his band Self and his composer collective Cake In Space. Personal Mahaffey grew up in Kingsport, Tennessee and was involved with music from a young age. He started writing songs and playing the drums at age 4 and would often perform with his brother, Mike Mahaffey, when they were growing up. By age eleven, he was playing drums at Dollywood, Dolly Parton's theme park in Pigeon Forge. In the mid-nineties he moved to Murfreesboro, Tennessee and attended MTSU. He lived and worked for 10 years in Murfreesboro and co-founded Spongebath Records. He also formed the band Self in 1994. Jeff Turzo, as singer/programming and songwriting/production partner in the electro-rock band God Lives Underwater (GLU), spent the better part of the 1990s as a producer and touring artist, first signed by Rick Rubin to American Recordings in 1993. American went on to release GLU's self-titled EP and debut album ''Empty'', which spawned minor radio hits "No More Love" and " All Wrong", the former as a single from the soundtrack to the hit Keanu Reeves film ''Johnny Mnemonic''. GLU then made a move to 1500 /A&M, who went on to release their second full-length ''Life in the So-Called Space Age'', which generated the hit, " From Your Mouth".
