Brazilian Automobile Confederation
The Brazilian Automobile Confederation ( Portuguese: Confederação Brasileira de Automobilismo, CBA) is the highest authority responsible for the organization, planning, regulation, and creation of norms involved in the automobile sport in Brazil. It is a social, technical and sportive civil association affiliated to the International Automobile Federation, which represents the associated drivers, among other attributions, whose headquarters are located in the city of Rio de Janeiro. The Mil Milhas Brasil (also known as the Mil Milhas Brasileiras or 1000 Miles of Brazil in Portuguese language, Portuguese) is a sports car racing, sports car endurance racing (motorsport), endurance race held annually in Brazil since 1956. The Mil Milhas has been held nearly every year since its inception and is one of the longest running motor racing events in Brazil. Fórmula Truck
Fórmula Truck is a Brazilian Truck racing series. It ran from 1996 to 2017, when it folded and was reorganized into the Copa Truck. However, the series returned to its original name and format in 2021. History The idea for the racing series came from discussions between Aurélio Batista Félix, a truck driver from Santos, and Portuguese journalist Francisco Santos. The first race took place on 6 September 1987 at the Autodromo Internacional de Cascavel circuit in Paraná. The contest involved 35 competitors, and was named ''I Copa Brasil de Caminhões'' ("First Brazilian Trucks' Cup"). It served as a trial contest to ascertain the safety of the new type of racing. Stock Car Pro Series, formerly known as Stock Car Brasil, is a touring car auto racing series based in Brazil organized by Vicar. It is considered the major Brazilian and South American motorsports series. Starting in 1979 with Chevrolet as the only constructor, the series has also seen other constructors joining in and leaving such as Mitsubishi, Peugeot and Volkswagen, currently the only other beside Chevrolet is Toyota. Rally is a wide-ranging form of motorsport with various competitive motoring elements such as speed tests (often called ''rally racing),'' navigation tests, or the ability to reach waypoints or a destination at a prescribed time or average speed. Rallies may be short in the form of trials at a single venue, or several thousand miles long in an extreme endurance rally. Depending on the format, rallies may be organised on private or public roads, open or closed to traffic, or off-road in the form of cross country or rally-raid.
