Brazil National Rugby Sevens Team
The Brazil national rugby sevens team competes at international level. Rugby sevens has grown in Brazil among rugby players. The country has competitive male and female squads. The sport in governed in Brazil by the Brazilian Rugby Confederation. The Brazilian men's team finished 6th at the 2015 Pan American Games. The team hosted the Rugby sevens at the 2016 Summer Olympics, 2016 Olympic tournament in Rio de Janeiro. Rugby Sevens At The 2013 World Games
Rugby sevens at the 2013 World Games was held from August 1 to August 2. Eight teams competed in the rugby sevens tournament held at the Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero in Cali as part of the ninth World Games. South Africa won the gold medal, defeating silver medalists Argentina in the final by 33–24. Canada took the bronze medal, defeating France 33–21 in the play-off for third place. This was the last appearance of rugby sevens at the World Games due to the sport's inclusion in the Olympics. Daniel Sancery (born 27 May 1994), is a Brazilian rugby union player currently contracted to French team SC Graulhet. He mostly plays as a wing, but can also play full-back. Career Domestic He joined French team SC Albi from UA Gaillac. During the 2014–15 season, he was the top scorer in SC Albi's reserve team with 16 tries, and made his Rugby Pro D2 debut for the full team in the first half of the 2015–16 season, starting on the left wing in a 27-9 away defeat by Mont-de-Marsan on 30 October 2015. The 2015–16 World Rugby Sevens Series, known for sponsorship reasons as the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series, was the 17th annual series of rugby union sevens tournaments for national men's rugby sevens teams. This edition of the London Sevens was held over the weekend of 16–17 May 2015 at Twickenham in London.
