Alfredo Bravo
Alfredo Bravo (30 April 1925 – 26 May 2003) was an Argentine Socialist politician, teacher, leader of the teachers' union CTERA, human rights fighter, and legislator. Life and times Bravo was born in Concepción del Uruguay, Entre Ríos Province. He studied in Avellaneda, Buenos Aires Province, and became a teacher at 18. Teaching in the rural north of Santa Fe Province, he returned upon being called for compulsory military training. He moved to Buenos Aires afterwards, where he joined the union movement. Bravo left the Socialist Party in 1957, since he opposed the participation of many of his fellow party members in the Consultative Junta convened by the military regime that had ousted President Juan Perón two years earlier. Helia Bravo Hollis (30 September 1901 – 26 September 2001) was a Mexican botanist who did research in the Faculty of Science at UNAM. Background and studies Helia Bravo Hollis was born and raised in Mixcoac, located in present-day Mexico City. Her interest in the study of living beings came from Sunday walks with her parents. She excelled in school from a young age. President Porfirio Diaz gave her recognition for her grades upon her completion of primary school. The political turmoil during the Mexican Revolution affected her family. Her father, a loyal supporter of Francisco Madero, was killed in 1914, shortly after Madero's assassination. Luis Manuel Ferri Llopis (3 August 1944 – 16 April 1973), better known by his stage name Nino Bravo, was a Spanish baroque pop and ballad singer. Early life Ferri Llopis was born in Aielo de Malferit (Valencia), Spain. His father, Luis Manuel, a salesman, moved the family to Valencia, in search of better opportunities, when his son was three years old. Young Luis met, in 1958, bassist Vicente López, who introduced him to other Valencian musicians. Ferri Llopis discovered he could sing while on a trip with López and Paco Ramón. López recalled that he was surprised, upon waking up from a nap, to hear him singing Domenico Modugno's hit "Libero". Deeply impressed, Lopez predicted that Ferri Llopis would become a superstar. Nicolás Bravo
Nicolás Bravo (10 September 1786 – 22 April 1854) was a Mexican soldier and politician who first distinguished himself during the Mexican War of Independence. He was Mexico's first vice-president though while holding this office Bravo would try to overthrow President Guadalupe Victoria through the Plan of Montaño in 1827. His revolt failed and in part due to the services Bravo had provided the nation during the War of Independence, he was allowed to live, but nonetheless exiled. Bravo would return to the country and later go on to serve as interim president of Mexico three separate times in 1839, 1842, and 1846. During his second presidency he oversaw the transition of the Centralist Republic of Mexico to a new constitution as part of the Bases of Tacubaya. Martín Ivan Bravo (born 19 September 1986) is an Argentine football manager and former player. He played as a striker. Career Bravo was born in Santa Fe. After a slow start to his career with his home town club Colón de Santa Fe In 2007, he joined San Martín de San Juan on loan where he established himself as a first team player and a regular goalscorer during the opening stages of the Clausura 2008 tournament. Mario Humberto Nicolás Bravo (June 27, 1882 – March 17, 1944) was an Argentine politician and writer. Life and times Born in La Cocha, Tucumán Province, in 1882, Bravo enrolled at the University of Buenos Aires, and earned a Law Degree in 1905 after submitting his thesis on labor legislation. He joined the Socialist Party while a student, and in 1907, was named editor-in-chief of ''La Vanguardia'', one of the best-known socialist publications in Argentina, at the time. He also published numerous works of prose, poetry, and non-fiction, from 1909 onwards. Marcelo René Bravo (born 10 January 1985) is a former Argentine football coach and former player who played as a midfielder. He is the current manager of Vélez Sarsfield's youth categories. Bravo played 50 games with Vélez Sarsfield, being a key member of the 2005 Clausura winning squad, and played for the Argentine U-20 national team before retiring at the age of 21 after discovering that he suffered from a cardiovascular hypertrophy. Leopoldo Bravo (March 15, 1919 – August 4, 2006) was an Argentine politician and diplomat. A Senator and Ambassador to the Soviet Union, he was a three-time governor of San Juan Province, where he came to be regarded as a ''caudillo'' (kingmaker). Career Bravo was born in San Juan, the illegitimate son of Governor Federico Cantoni, and Enoe Bravo. In an era in which men of higher social status could often opt not to do so, Cantoni acknowledged the child as his own, though young Leopoldo opted to keep his mother's last name when he came of age. Bravo graduated from the University of La Plata with a law degree in 1942. Leonardo Bravo (1764 in Chilpancingo, Guerrero – September 13, 1812 in Mexico City) was a liberal Mexican, landowner, and general. He was the brother of Máximo Bravo and father of Nicolás Bravo. Bravo participated with the insurgent faction during the development of the armed movement of the first stage of the Independence of Mexico.
