Brave (Joyryde Album)
''Brave'' is the debut studio album by English DJ and producer Joyryde, also known as John Ford. It was released by Hard Recs on 3 April 2020. The album consists of 18 songs and features guest appearances from Mika Means, NoLay, Majilla, Youngs Teflon, Fze, and Gold. "Damn" is included as a bonus track, which features Freddie Gibbs. ''Brave'' incorporates five distinct genres of bass house, trap, hip hop, grime, and UK bass. The themes of it reflect Ford's passion for music, energy, attitudes, and culture. Four songs were released as singles in 2019: " I'm Gone", " Yuck", which features Gold, " Madden", and "Selecta 19". Fans believed that "Agen Wida", Joyryde's collaboration with Skrillex, was the album's lead single; the ultimate release of "I'm Gone" as the first single disproved this. Joyryde
Jon Ford, (born 24 July 1985) better known by his stage name Joyryde (stylised as JOYRYDE), is an English DJ and producer, son of John Ford (also known as John Phantasm and owner of Phantasm Records). Early career Inspired by his father John Phantasm (and consequently the music he heard playing at home when he was young), Ford started producing his own music in the studio from the age of 9 but did not begin DJing worldwide until he was 13. Wrapped up in the life of DJing, Ford did not return to the studio until he was 15, which was when he 'wanted to get back into the producing part of it since the music was getting more technical'. Sonny John Moore (born January 15, 1988), known professionally as Skrillex, is an American DJ and music producer. Growing up in Northeast Los Angeles and Northern California, he joined the post-hardcore band From First to Last as the lead singer in 2004, and recorded two studio albums with the band (''Dear Diary, My Teen Angst Has a Bodycount'' [2004] and ''Heroine (From First to Last album), Heroine'' [2006]) before leaving to pursue a solo career in 2007. Owsla (stylized in all caps) is an American record label and creative collective. It was founded by Skrillex, Tim Smith, Kathryn Frazier, and Clayton Blaha in 2011. Skrillex announced the label on August 17, 2011. The label's first release was Porter Robinson's ''Spitfire''. Bassline (sometimes referred to as bassline house, organ house, Niche, B-Line, or 4x4) is a music genre related to UK garage that originated in Yorkshire and the Midlands in the early 2000s. Ghetto House
Ghetto house or booty house is a subgenre of house music which started being recognized as a distinct style from around 1992 onwards. It features minimal 808 and 909 drum machine-driven tracks and sometimes sexually explicit lyrics. The template of classic Chicago house music (primarily, "It's Time for the Percolator" by Cajmere) was used with the addition of sexual lyrics. It has usually been made on minimal equipment with little or no effects. It usually features either a " 4-to-the-floor" kick drum or beat-skipping kick drums such as those found in the subgenre "juke" (full sounding, but not too long or distorted) along with Roland 808 and 909 synthesized tom-tom sounds, minimal use of analogue synths, and short, slightly dirty sounding (both sonically and lyrically) vocals samples, often repeated in various ways.
