Braslau Lakes
Braslaw Lakes ( be, Браслаўскія азёры, tr. ''Braslawskiya azyory''; rus, Браславские озёра, Braslavskiye ozyora) is one of the four national parks in Belarus. The national park was set up in September 1995. It is a unique ecosystem with a number of lakes and a large area of pine forests. It has a total area of about . This includes 30 lakes. Three largest lakes are Dryvyaty (fifth largest in the country), Snudy (ninth largest in the country) and Strusta (sixteenth largest in the country). Location The territory of the national park is separate and is in the Braslaw Raion in the northwest of Belarus, near the border with Lithuania. Strusta Lake - Panorama
Lake Strusta ( be, Стру́ста; lt, Strustas) is a freshwater lake in the Braslaw District of Vitebsk Region, Belarus, the third largest among the Braslaw Lakes and the sixteenth largest in Belarus. Lake Strusta is fed by several rivulets running from the Snudy, Balojsa, and Yelno lakes. It is drained by a little river into the Vojsa. The lake has around 22 known species of fish in it, including the European cisco. The lake covers the area of 13 square km. Its maximum depth is 23 meters. Common Crane
The common crane (''Grus grus''), also known as the Eurasian crane, is a bird of the family Gruidae, the cranes. A medium-sized species, it is the only crane commonly found in Europe besides the demoiselle crane (''Grus virgo'') and the Siberian crane (''Leucogeranus leucogeranus''). Along with the sandhill (''Antigone canadensis'') and demoiselle cranes and the brolga (''Antigone rubicunda''), it is one of only four crane species not currently classified as threatened with extinction or conservation dependent on the species level.
