Branko Ivanda
Branko Ivanda (born 25 December 1941) is Croatian film director and screenwriter. Ivanda was born in Split, then under Italian occupation. His father Leo was a high-school professor of Croatian and French language and his mother Dunja a clerk. The family had artistic leanings, as Ivanda's grandfather was an actor in the Croatian National Theatre in Split (HNK), while his uncle-in-law was composer Ivo Tijardović. ''Večernji list'' (also known as ''Večernjak''; ) is a Croatian daily newspaper published in Zagreb. History and profile ''Večernji list'' was started in Zagreb in 1959. Its ancestor ''Večernji vjesnik'' ("Evening Courier") appeared for the first time on 3 June 1957 in Zagreb on 24 pages but quickly merged with ''Narodni list'' (meaning "People's Paper" in English) to form what is today known as ''Večernji list''.
