Brandon Underwood
Brandon Dante Underwood (born June 24, 1986) is a former American football safety. He was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2009 NFL Draft and would later be a part of their Super Bowl XLV championship team over the Pittsburgh Steelers. He played college football at Cincinnati. College career After going to Hamilton High School, Underwood spent his first two years at Ohio State, where he was redshirted as a freshman in 2005. He played in the season opener against Miami, recording three tackles before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury. After his sophomore season, Underwood transferred to Cincinnati, where he earned first-team All-Big East honors in his senior season, recording 4 interceptions including one of Heisman Trophy winner Sam Bradford. The Green Bay Packers season was the franchise's 93rd season overall and their 91st in the National Football League (NFL), and the sixth under head coach Mike McCarthy. The team not only improved on their 10–6 record from a season earlier, they became just the sixth team in NFL history to win 15 games during the regular season. As of 2022, the 15–1 record stands as the best in team history, as well as the best record for a defending Super Bowl champion. 2009 NFL Draft
The 2009 NFL Draft was the seventy-fourth annual meeting of National Football League (NFL) franchises to select newly eligible football players. The draft took place at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, New York, on April 25 and 26, 2009. The draft consisted of two rounds on the first day, starting at 4:00 pm EDT, and five rounds on the second day, starting at 10:00 am EDT. To compensate for the time change from the previous year and in an effort to help shorten the draft, teams were no longer on the clock for 15 minutes in the first round and 10 minutes in the second round. Each team now had 10 minutes to make their selection in the first round and seven minutes in the second round. Rounds three through seven were shortened to five minutes per team. Sam Bradford
Samuel Jacob Bradford (born November 8, 1987) is a former American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons, most notably with the St. Louis Rams and Minnesota Vikings. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Eagles and Arizona Cardinals. Bradford attended Putnam City North High School in Oklahoma City, where he starred in football, basketball and golf. As a senior quarterback in 2005, he threw for 2,029 yards and 17 touchdowns in 12 games. Bradford was not highly recruited coming out of high school, but he did receive a scholarship offer from the University of Oklahoma, which he accepted. After a redshirt season in 2006, Bradford threw for 3,121 yards and 36 touchdowns as a redshirt freshman.
