Brandon Parker
Brandon Malik Parker (born October 21, 1995) is an American football offensive tackle for the Las Vegas Raiders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at North Carolina A&T before being selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Early life Parker was born in Kannapolis, North Carolina, to George Curtis Parker III and his wife Regina. Both of his parents have athletic backgrounds. Parker attended A.L. Brown High School, in Kannapolis, North Carolina where he started two of the three years he played varsity football. During his senior year, Parker led the Wonders to an 8–4 record. During Parker's high school career, the wonders averaged 287 yards rushing per game and completed 62.4 percent of its passes. Tackle (gridiron Football Position)
Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. The Winston-Salem State Rams are the athletic teams that represent Winston-Salem State University, located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, in NCAA Division II intercollegiate sports. The Rams compete as members of the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association for all sports. 2015 Celebration Bowl
The 2015 Celebration Bowl (officially known as the 2015 Air Force Reserve Celebration Bowl) was a post-season American college football bowl game played on December 19, 2015 at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia. The inaugural Celebration Bowl game pitted the North Carolina A&T Aggies, co-champion of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, against the Alcorn State Braves, champion of the Southwestern Athletic Conference. The event was the finale of the 2015 FCS football season for both conferences as their champions abstain from the NCAA Division I FCS football playoffs. The game kicked off at 12:00 PM ( EST) and was televised live on ABC. The game was also carried nationally on the radio by RedVoice, LLC. The 2013 North Carolina A&T Aggies football team represented North Carolina A&T State University as a member of Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) during the 2013 NCAA Division I FCS football season. Led by third-year head coach Rod Broadway, the Aggies compiled an overall record of 7–4 with a mark of 4–4 in conference play, placing in a three-way tie for fifth in the MEAC. Redshirt, in United States college athletics, is a delay or suspension of an athlete's participation in order to lengthen their period of eligibility. Typically, a student's athletic eligibility in a given sport is four seasons, aligning with the four years of academic classes typically required to earn a bachelor's degree at an American college or university. However, in a redshirt year, student athletes may attend classes at the college or university, practice with an athletic team, and "suit up" (wear a team uniform) for play – but they may compete in only a limited number of games (see " Use of status" section). Rod Broadway
Roderick Craig Broadway (born April 9, 1955) is a former American football coach. He served as the head football coach at North Carolina Central University from 2003 to 2006, Grambling State University from 2007 to 2010, and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University from 2011 to 2017, compiling a career college football coaching record of 125–45. He is the only coach to win a black college football national championship at three different schools. The Charlotte 49ers football program represents the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in college football. The UNC Charlotte Board of Trustees officially voted to add a football program on November 13, 2008, after a unanimous recommendation by the Football Feasibility Committee. It was made possible by Student Government initiatives starting in 2006 by then-student body president Benjamin Comstock and student body vice president Jordan Van Dyne, namely the first step of organizing a transparent student vote on football that disclosed possible hikes in tuition fees as a result of football. The Appalachian State Mountaineers football team is the intercollegiate American football team representing Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. A team's walk-on players are normally the weakest players and relegated to the scout team, and may not even be placed on the official depth chart or traveling team, while the scholarship players are the team's main players.
