Brandon Escobar
Brandon Escobar (born 25 September 1990 in Long Island, New York) is a Honduran American wrestler. He largely grew up on Long Island and briefly attended Suffolk County Community College. He qualified to wrestle in the men's freestyle events at the 2012 Summer Olympics for Honduras. He was their first Olympic wrestler. He lost to Mihran Jaburyan Mihran Jaburyan ( hy, Միհրան Ջաբուրյան, born 16 November 1984) is an Armenian Freestyle wrestler. He won the Armenian Championship in 2010 and 2011. Suffolk County Community College (SCCC) is a public community college in Selden, New York. It is part of the State University of New York (SUNY) system and is funded in part by Suffolk County, New York. Suffolk County Community College was founded in 1959 and has three campuses: Selden, Brentwood and Riverhead. It also has two satellite centers in Sayville and downtown Riverhead. The school was founded largely through the efforts of Albert Ammerman who was the college's president from its founding in December 1959 until 1983. Wrestling At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Qualification
This article details the Wrestling at the 2012 Summer Olympics qualifying phase. The Wrestling competition at the 2012 Games included 344 athletes. Each competing nation was allowed to enter a maximum of 18 competitors (1 per event). 3 places were reserved for Great Britain as host nation, but Great Britain decided to use only one of them and a further 3 invitational places were decided by the Tripartite Commission. The remaining 338 places were allocated through the qualification process, in which athletes won quota places for their respective nation.
