Brainwashed (While She Sleeps Album)
''Brainwashed'' is the second studio album by British metalcore band While She Sleeps. It was released on 23 March 2015 through Search and Destroy Records. The album was produced by Carl Bown. Release and promotion Four tracks taken from the album were revealed prior to release, each with accompanying videos that were available to download instantly from iTunes. "New World Torture", "Four Walls" (premiered exclusively on ''Gigwise''), "Trophies of Violence" and "Our Legacy". To support the album, the band embarked on a co-headline tour with Cancer Bats in April 2015, while also playing 2015's Warped Tour. Critical reception The album received positive reviews from critics. While She Sleeps
While She Sleeps are a British metalcore band from Sheffield. Formed in 2006, the group consists of vocalist Lawrence Taylor, guitarists Sean Long and Mat Welsh, bassist Aaran McKenzie and drummer Adam Savage. They are currently signed to their own label Sleeps Brothers in the UK and in collaboration with Spinefarm Records in the US and UNFD in Australia. They have released three EPs, ''And This Is Just the Start'', ''Split'' and ''The North Stands for Nothing'', and five studio albums, '' This Is the Six'', '' Brainwashed'', ''You Are We'', '' So What?'' and ''Sleeps Society''. They received the Best British Newcomer award at the Kerrang! Awards 2012. The compact disc (CD) is a Digital media, digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Mastering, a form of audio post production, is the process of preparing and transferring recorded audio from a source containing the final mix to a data storage device (the master), the source from which all copies will be produced (via methods such as pressing, duplication or replication). In recent years digital masters have become usual, although analog masters—such as audio tapes—are still being used by the manufacturing industry, particularly by a few engineers who specialize in analog mastering. Ted Jensen
Ted Jensen (born September 19, 1954) is an American mastering engineer, known for having mastered many recordings, including the Eagles' ''Hotel California'', Green Day's '' American Idiot'' and Norah Jones' ''Come Away with Me''. Biography Ted Jensen was born to Carl and Margaret (Anning) Jensen, both of whom were musicians. Carl had studied at Yale University. Margaret went to Oberlin College & Conservatory and Skidmore College and was also a pilot. Carl and Margaret met on a train while going to a choral workshop. Ted has one brother, Rick, and two daughters, Kristen and Kim. While attending High School, Jensen was building his own stereo and recording equipment and began recording local bands both in the studio and at live events.
