Brain Dead (1990 Film)
''Brain Dead'' is a 1990 psychological horror-thriller film directed by Adam Simon. It stars Bill Pullman, Bill Paxton and George Kennedy. Plot Dr. Rex Martin is a top neurosurgeon, who is active in studying brain malfunctions that cause mental illnesses. The film opens with him walking into his office, the 8 on his laboratory turned on its side in an infinity symbol. His assistant, Berkovitch, is playing games with a removed brain, connected to a separated face, using his tool to map out the facial muscles in the brain. After Rex takes over, Berkovitch accidentally knocks over Philip Montag's brain, a parietal paralysis patient. Rex jokes that the place won't be the same without him. Adam Simon
Adam Simon (born February 6, 1962) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter. His directing credits include ''Brain Dead'' (1990), '' Body Chemistry II: The Voice of a Stranger'' (1992), and ''Carnosaur'' (1993). Simon, along with producer Brannon Braga, co-created the television series '' Salem''. As a screenwriter, Simon is known for ''Bones'' (2001), ''The Haunting in Connecticut'' (2009), and ''Books of Blood'' (2020). Career He plays a humorous version of himself, pitching a project and getting barred from the studio lot in the famous opening-shot of Robert Altman's '' The Player'' (1992). Lee Arenberg
Lee Arenberg (born July 18, 1962) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Pintel, one of Captain Barbossa's crew, in the '' Pirates of the Caribbean film series''. He also had a recurring role as the dwarf Grumpy in the television series ''Once Upon a Time''. He attended UCLA as a theatre major. Rotten Tomatoes is an American review-aggregation website for film and television. The company was launched in August 1998 by three undergraduate students at the University of California, Berkeley: Senh Duong, Patrick Y. Lee, and Stephen Wang. Although the name "Rotten Tomatoes" connects to the practice of audiences throwing rotten tomatoes in disapproval of a poor stage performance, the original inspiration comes from a scene featuring tomatoes in the Canadian film ''Léolo'' (1992). Since January 2010, Rotten Tomatoes has been owned by Flixster, which was in turn acquired by Warner Bros in 2011.
