IMG Academy Bradenton is an American soccer team based in Bradenton, Florida, United States. Founded in 1998, the team plays in USL League Two, the fourth tier of the American Soccer Pyramid. The team is associated with IMG Academy and the United States Soccer Federation's full-time residency program for the US Under 17 Men's National Team. The team plays its home games in the stadium at IMG Academy, where they have played since 2003. The team's colors are blue, gold and black. IMG Academy is a preparatory boarding school and sports training destination in Bradenton, Florida, United States. IMG Academy is set across over 600 acres and features programs consisting of sport camps for youth athletes, adult camps, a boarding school, including a post-graduate/ gap-year program, events, professional and collegiate training, group hosting, and corporate retreats. IMG Academy is owned by Endeavor. History Nick Bollettieri founded the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy in 1978. Sports company IMG purchased the academy in 1987. Stephen Keel
Stephen Keel (born April 11, 1983 in Littleton, Colorado) is a former American soccer player who most recently played for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer. Career College and amateur Keel played college soccer at Wake Forest University from 2001 to 2004 where he appeared in 63 games scoring 13 goals and adding 9 assists. During his college career he also played with Bradenton Academics in the USL Premier Development League. Professional On July 11, 2005 Keel signed a developmental contract with the Colorado Rapids. During the 2006 season Keel spent time on loan with the Seattle Sounders of the USL First Division, scoring 1 goal in 10 games for the team. Cameron Robert Hepple (born 19 May 1988) is a Bahamian footballer who plays for Lyford Cay. Early career Youth, amateur and college At 9 years old Hepple was selected for the first Centre of Excellence program created for the Bahamas by English coach Gary White. After impressing at the U-17 World Cup Qualifiers in Cuba, Hepple was scouted to go on trials in England with fellow Bahamian International Demont Mitchell. Happy McNair Hall (born October 15, 1987) is a Bahamian international footballer who plays for local side Lyford Cay as a defender. Miguel Gonzalez ( es, Miguel Antonio González Castelan; born September 25, 1987) is an American former soccer player of Mexican descent. Career Youth and Amateur Gonzalez spent two years in the Santos Laguna youth system, before joining the Bradenton Academy in 2006, subsequently playing two seasons for the Bradenton Academics in the USL Premier Development League. Michael Gavin (soccer)
Michael Gavin (born March 30, 1986 in Scottsdale, Arizona) is an American soccer player, currently without a team. Career Youth, College and Amateur Gavin attended Horizon High School in Scottsdale, Arizona, with whom he won the 2003 State Championship while being was named Defensive Player of the Year and to the all-area first-team. Gavin also played club soccer for the Sereno Golden Eagles youth club with fellow MLS players Brandon McDonald, Robbie Findley and Rob Valentino. Blair Gavin (born January 8, 1989) is a former American association football, soccer player who is head coach of USL Championship side FC Tulsa. Jani Galik (born 9 October 1984 in Přerov, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech football player who plays midfielder for the Bradenton Academics in the USL Premier Development League. Although born in Czechoslovakia, Galik grew up in Sarasota, Florida. After high school, he committed to play college soccer at Florida Atlantic University but never followed through. Francis de Vries (born 28 November 1994) is a New Zealand professional footballer who plays for Allsvenskan club IFK Värnamo.
