Brad Davis (rugby League)
Brad Davis (born 30 April 1982) is a rugby league footballer who previously played for the Gold Coast Titans in the National Rugby League. He played as a half-back. Early life Davis grew up in New South Wales. He participated in many Catholic School Representative teams and other schoolboy football teams. Playing career In 2007 Davis helped the Tweed Heads Seagulls become the first NSW based team to win the Queensland Cup, winning the inaugural Duncal Hall Medal for man-of-the-match in the grand final. Davis made his National Rugby League debut in 2008, playing in six matches for the Gold Coast Titans. Davis is the Tweed Heads Seagulls leading points scorer of all time. Bath Rugby is a professional rugby union club in Bath, Somerset, England. They play in Premiership Rugby, England's top division of rugby. The Gold Coast Titans are a professional rugby league football club, based on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. The National Rugby League (NRL) is an Australasian rugby league club competition which contains clubs from New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, the Australian Capital Territory and New Zealand. The NRL formed in 1998 as a joint partnership between the Australian Rugby League (ARL) and media giant News Corporation-controlled Super League, in the aftermath of the 1990s Super League war, in which both ran parallel to each other in 1997. Rugby League Positions
A rugby league team consists of thirteen players on the field, with 4 substitutes on the bench. Each of the thirteen players is assigned a position, normally with a standardised number, which reflects their role in attack and defence, although players can take up any position at any time. Players are divided into two general types, forwards and backs. Forwards are generally chosen for their size and strength. They are expected to run with the ball, to attack, and to make tackles. Forwards are required to improve the team's field position thus creating space and time for the backs. Backs are usually smaller and faster, though a big, fast player can be of advantage in the backs. Their roles require speed and ball-playing skills, rather than just strength, to take advantage of the field position gained by the forwards. The Tweed Heads Seagulls, often referred to simply as Tweed or Seagulls or Tweed Seagulls, is a rugby league club based in Tweed Heads, New South Wales. It is one of only two non-Queensland teams to play in the Queensland Cup, along with the PNG Hunters.
