Brad Anderson (wrestler)
Bradley Anderson (born December 24, 1969) is an American professional wrestler. He is the son of fellow professional wrestler Gene Anderson. Professional wrestling career Brad Anderson started wrestling in 1988 after being trained by his father, Gene Anderson, and Nelson Royal. He wrestled in the National Wrestling Alliance's (NWA) Jim Crockett Promotions under his real name as well as the masked 'Zan Panzer' and 'Agent Steele'. In 1990 he wrestled in the Pacific Northwest Territory and formed a tag team with Ricky Santana that won the PNW tag team titles. In 1991 he went to Puerto Rico's World Wrestling Council and feuded with Santana over the WWC Light Heavyweight Title. Brad Anderson worked in the NAWA/SAPW as The Viper. He was unmasked by "War Eagle" Chris Chavis. Pacific Northwest Wrestling
Pacific Northwest Wrestling (PNW) (also known as Big Time Wrestling and Portland Wrestling) is the common name used to refer to several different professional wrestling companies, both past and present, based in Portland, Oregon, United States. The first such company (that would later become Portland Wrestling) was founded by Herb Owen in 1925. It was the Northwest territory of the National Wrestling Alliance from the Alliance's inception in 1948 until 1992. The area was brought to its prime by Herb's son, Don Owen, and this version of Pacific Northwest Wrestling saw many of the top names in pro wrestling come through on a regular basis. The Anderson family is a group of professional wrestlers, a part fictional, part real, extended family largely consisting of brothers, cousins and children. Gene Anderson NWA Hall of Famer Gene Anderson (the only actual 'Anderson' of the original group), born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, started his professional wrestling career in 1958. The ''Wrestling Observer Newsletter'' (''WON'') is a newsletter that covers professional wrestling and mixed martial arts. Founded in print in 1982 by Dave Meltzer, the ''Wrestling Observer'' website merged with Bryan Alvarez's ''Figure Four Weekly'' website in 2008, becoming ''Wrestling Observer Figure Four Online''. Issues are offered in print and digital. The newsletter is often considered the first " dirt sheet", which is a wrestling publication which covers the art from a real-life perspective. The WWC Junior Heavyweight Championship is a championship contested for in the Puerto Rican professional wrestling promotion, the World Wrestling Council. While weight classes are generally not strictly adhered to in professional wrestling today, this particular championship is usually competed for by wrestlers weighing less than 230 lbs. History For a time, the title was defended in the W*ING promotion in Japan as the W*ING World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Originally, the title was used to push a wrestler that the promotion was interested in, becoming a stepping stone on the route to the WWC Universal Heavyweight Championship.
