Jim Boylen
James Francis Boylen (born April 18, 1965) is an American professional basketball coach. He was the coach of the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Previously, Boylen served as head coach for the University of Utah, coaching the program from 2007 to 2011 before being fired on March 12, 2011. The Utah job was his first head coaching position after spending over a decade as an assistant at both the NBA and NCAA levels. He replaced Ray Giacoletti, who was fired from Utah on March 3, 2007. Prior to joining Utah, Boylen spent two years at Michigan State University (MSU) as assistant coach under Tom Izzo. College career Boylen was born in East Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1965 and attended the University of Maine, where he was a captain during both his junior and senior seasons. Francis "Frank" Boylen (14 September 1878 – 3 February 1938), also known by the nickname of "Patsy", was an English rugby union, and professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1900s and 1910s. He played representative level rugby union (RU) for England and Durham, and at club level for Hartlepool Excelsior, Hartlepool Old Boys, Hartlepool Rovers and West Hartlepool R.F.C., and representative level rugby league (RL) for Great Britain, England and Yorkshire, and at club level for Hull FC (two spells, including the second as World War I guest) ( Heritage № 177), York and Hull Kingston Rovers as a forward. Dave Boylen
David Boylen (born 26 October 1947) is an English former professional footballer who played as a midfielder, who later became a politician. Career Football Born in Prestbury, Cheshire, Boylen was playing non-league football with Ryder Brow when he signed a professional contract with Grimsby Town. At Grimsby between 1966 and 1978, Boylen made 384 appearances in the Football League, scoring 34 goals in the process. Boylen was part of the 1971–72 team that won the Division Four title. He later played non-League football with Skegness Town. Politics Boylen served as a Liberal Democrat councillor for the Freshney ward of North East Lincolnshire Council from 2007 to 2011. James Boylen
Matthew James Boylen (August 10, 1907 – July 7, 1970) was a Canadian businessman and Thoroughbred racehorse owner. Jim Boylen was born in Weston, Ontario and raised in Alberta. In his early teens he left home and returned to Northern Ontario where he and elder brother Fred eventually operated a trading post. By the time he was twenty years old, Boylen had become a full-time prospector and in 1934 established business offices in the city of Toronto. He would be the founder of Brunswick Mining and Smelting Corp. Ltd in Bathurst, New Brunswick, an operation later acquired by Noranda which is now known as Xstrata. An art collector, in 1959 Boylen was a founding donor to the Beaverbrook Art Gallery in Fredericton, New Brunswick, donating twenty-two paintings by Cornelius Krieghoff.
