Boxing At The 2012 Summer Olympics – Women's Flyweight
The women's competition at the 2012 Olympic Games in London was held from 5 to 9 August at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. For the first time at an Olympic Games, the 10 men's boxing events were joined by three women's events: flyweight, middleweight, and lightweight. Nicola Adams from Great Britain won the gold medal — the first Olympic gold ever awarded in women's boxing. Competition format The competition consisted of a single-elimination tournament. Bronze medals were awarded to both semi-final losers, Marlen Esparza of the United States and Mary Kom of India. Each bout comprised four rounds of two minutes each.Women's competition format.

ExCeL London
ExCeL London (an abbreviation for Exhibition Centre London) is an exhibition centre, international convention centre and former hospital in the Custom House, Newham, Custom House area of London Borough of Newham, Newham, East London. India competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, from 27 July to 12 August 2012. A total of 83 athletes, 60 men and 23 women, competed in 13 sports. Men's field hockey was the only team-based sport in which India had its representation in these Olympic Games. India also marked its Olympic return in weightlifting, after the International Weightlifting Federation imposed a two-year suspension for the nation's athletes in Beijing because of a doping scandal. The Indian team featured several Olympic medalists from Beijing, including rifle shooter and Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra, who failed to advance into the final rounds of his event in London. Wrestler and Olympic bronze medalist Sushil Kumar managed to claim another medal by winning silver in the men's freestyle wrestling. Stoyka Krasteva ( bg, Стойка Кръстева; born 18 September 1985), née Petrova, is a former Bulgarian boxer who won a gold medal in the women's flyweight division at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
