Boxer's Adventure
''Boxer's Adventure'' (), also released as ''The Boxer's of Shaolin'', is a 1977 Taiwan martial arts action film starring Tao-liang Tan and Jack Lung Sai-Ga. Plot When the evil Yun Shi Kai threatens to take control of the local province, the royal minister realises that he must build an army to defeat him. He travels to Tiger village where he enlists the help of three of their finest fighters to aid him in his quest. They are teamed with Captain Lee (Tao-liang Tan) and sent out in advance to prepare the villages for the minister's arrival. Along the way they encounter ambushes, romantic interludes and devious plots that all threaten to stop them from completing their duties. Tao-liang Tan
Tan Tao-liang (; Tan Dao-liang; born 22 December 1947) is a Chinese-Korean martial artist and former film actor. He has used numerous pseudonyms throughout his career, most frequently Delon Tam, Dorian Tan Tao-liang, Tan Tao-liang, Delon Tan, Dorian Tan, and Delon Tanners. Noted for his leg holding and hopping skills, Tan was nicknamed "Flash Legs". In his later life, Tan dedicated his time to teaching martial arts, notably to Yuen Biao, Ke Huy Quan of The Goonies, and Shannon Lee, the daughter of the late Bruce Lee. Early life Tan was born on December 22, 1947, in Pusan, South Korea. He is a Chinese Korean whose parents fled mainland China after the Second Sino-Japanese War broke out. At age 7, Tan began studying several martial arts including taekwondo, judo, hapkido and kung fu. Of these styles, he favored taekwondo as it "allowed for full contact, sparring and competition." Blacky Ko
Blackie Ko () (February 22, 1953 – December 9, 2003) was a Taiwanese film director, producer, stuntman, singer and actor. Blackie was considered to be the greatest automotive stunt choreographer in Asia. Personal life In 1956, his family moved to Taiwan during Battle of Dachen Archipelago. He married Sung Lai Wah and they have a son named Alan Ko, a daughter named Jennifer Ko, and another son named Jacky Ko. In 1997, Ko drove a car over the Hukou Waterfall on the Yellow River in Shaanxi Province to celebrate the handover of Hong Kong. Death On December 9, 2003, Ko died of blood poisoning in Shanghai. ''Nanyang Siang Pau'' or ''Nanyang Business Daily'' () was founded by philanthropist-entrepreneur Tan Kah Kee on 6 September 1923 in Straits Settlements, currently published in Malaysia. ''Shin Min Daily News'' () is a Singapore Chinese-language afternoon newspaper currently published by SPH Media Trust. First started on 18 March 1967, by Singapore businessman Liang Runzhi (梁潤之) and the renowned Hong Kong writer Louis Cha as an offshoot of Hong Kong's ''Ming Pao'', it featured exclusive serializations of some of Cha's ''wuxia'' novels in its early days. In the early 1980s, Cha sold his shares in the paper after the Singapore government ruled that foreigners could only hold up to 3% of shares in locally based papers.
