Robert Henry Bow
Robert Henry Bow FRSE (1827–1909) was a Scottish civil engineer and photographer. Life He was born in Alnwick on 27 January 1827. Bow worked with Edward Sang and Thomas Bouch, and his textbooks ''Economics of Construction in Relation to Framed Structures'' (1871) and ''Treatise on Bracing in relation to Bridges and other Structures'' (1874) drew on calculations he had conducted for Bouch. In the 1860s he became fascinated with stereoscopic photography. He was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh in 1869, his proposer being Edward Sang His address was then 7 South Gray Street on the south side of Edinburgh. He died at 7 South Gray StreetEdinburgh and Leith Post Office Directory 1908-9 on 17 February 1909 is buried in the grave of his brother Dr John Campbell Bow (1825–1877) in the Grange Cemetery in southern Edinburgh. Ryan Bow (February 3, 1979) is a retired American mixed martial arts fighter from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Bow is a coach, author, and entrepreneur. He fought in both the Lightweight and Welterweight divisions and is a black belt in Kodokan Judo and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Bow was taught by prominent fighters such as former five times UFC Middleweight Champion Frank Shamrock, and was a member of the American Kickboxing Academy's professional fight team. Bow Thayer is an American songwriter, guitarist, and banjoist and the founder of the Tweed River Music Festival. His career spans over two decades with bands including the 7 League Boots, Elbow, Jethro and The Benders as well as solo work. Bow Kum (1888 – August 15, 1909) known as Sweet Flower was a Chinese-born slave girl who belonged to the Hip Sing Tong and later to the On Leong Tong around the turn of the 20th century. Her murder was one of the most well-publicized and notorious crimes in New York's history and was the cause of the year-long Tong War between the On Leong Tong and its rivals the Hip Sings and the Four Brothers.
