Bourg-Saint-Maurice Station
Bourg-Saint-Maurice station ( French: ''Gare de Bourg-Saint-Maurice'') is a railway station in Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in south-east France. The station is located at the end of the St-Pierre-d'Albigny-Bourg-Saint-Maurice railway. The station is served by TGV (high-speed long-distance) and TER (regional) services operated by SNCF. During the winter months Eurostar services from London and Thalys services from Amsterdam and Brussels travel to Bourg-Saint-Maurice. The station was heavily rebuilt for the 1992 Winter Olympics at Albertville. The station also features some sidings for passenger trains when not in use. Juxtaposed controls are in operation in the station for Eurostar passengers travelling to the UK. They clear exit checks from the Schengen Area (carried out by Customs officers) as well as UK entry immigration checks (conducted by the UK Border Force) in the station before boarding their train. Bourg-Saint-Maurice (; Arpitan: ''Bôrg-Sant-Mori'' or simply ''Le Bôrg''), popularly known as Bourg, is a commune in the Savoie department in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in Southeastern France. Ashford International Railway Station
Ashford International railway station is a National Rail station in Ashford, Kent, England. It connects several railway lines, including High Speed 1 and the South Eastern Main Line. Services are operated by Southeastern and Southern. The station opened in 1842 as Ashford by the South Eastern Railway (SER) as a temporary terminus of the line from London to Dover via Croydon. TGV Sud-Est
The SNCF TGV Sud-Est was a French high speed TGV train built by Alstom and Francorail-MTE and operated by SNCF, the French national railway company. A total of 111 trainsets were built between 1978 and 1988 for the first TGV service in France between Paris and Lyon which opened in 1981. The trainsets were semi-permanently coupled, consisting of two power cars (locomotives) and eight articulated passenger carriages, ten in the case of the tri-voltage sets.
