Bound For Glory (2016)
Bound for Glory (2016) was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It took place on October 2, 2016 at the Impact Zone in Orlando, Florida, the first time since the inaugural 2005 event to be held at the venue. It was the twelfth event in the Bound for Glory chronology, the second and last pay-per-view event of 2016 from TNA. It would also be the final pay per view under the TNA name. It included the induction of Gail Kim into the TNA Hall of Fame, with Christy Hemme, Taryn Terrell and Awesome Kong returning to induct her. The event also featured the official TNA debut of Cody and Brandi Rhodes. Eight matches, one of which was a match taped for ''TNA Xplosion'', took place at the event. In the main event, Lashley defeated Ethan Carter III to retain the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, and The Hardys (Broken Matt and Brother Nero) defeated Decay (Abyss and Crazzy Steve) in The Great War to become the TNA World Tag Tea ... Bobby Lashley
Franklin Roberto Lashley (born July 16, 1976) is an American professional wrestler, mixed martial artist and bodybuilder. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the Raw brand. He is an eight-time world champion, having been a two-time WWE Champion, two-time ECW World Champion, and four-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Lashley is also known for his mixed martial arts (MMA) career in Bellator MMA and Strikeforce. Lashley debuted in WWE in 2005, appearing on the SmackDown brand where he became a one-time United States Champion. After being drafted to the ECW brand the following year, Lashley became a two-time ECW World Champion, the first African-American to hold the championship. During this time, he had a high-profile rivalry with company chairman Vince McMahon, which included representing Donald Trump in the "Battle of the Billionaires" at WrestleMania 23, before leaving the company in 2008. TNA Hall Of Fame
The Impact Hall of Fame (stylized as ''IMPACT! Hall of Fame'') is a hall of fame that honors professional wrestlers and wrestling personalities who contributed to the history of the U.S. based wrestling promotion Impact Wrestling formally known as Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). It was established in 2012 and created as part of the celebration of the promotion's 10th anniversary. Inductees are usually announced at either Slammiversary or episodes of ''Impact!'', and the ceremony takes place prior to Bound for Glory (wrestling pay-per-view), Bound for Glory. Since its inception there have been two years where no inductions have taken place. As of 2022, there have been 11 inducted in total; nine individually, and one group induction.
