Boulevard De La Zone
Boulevard Hippolyte-Marquès (formerly known as: Boulevard de la Zone) is a street in the 13th arrondissement of Paris named from the historical military zone. It has been planted with trees for much of its length of 515m and has an average width of 8m. It runs from the Avenue de la Porte d'Ivry to the Avenue de la Porte de Choisy. It now forms part of the ring-road around Paris, the ''boulevard périphérique'' or le périf. One side marks the border of Ivry-sur-Seine from which it was annexed to Paris on April 19, 1929. On July 27, 1945 it was renamed after Hippolyte Marquès. 13th Arrondissement Of Paris
The 13th arrondissement of Paris (''XIIIe arrondissement'') is one of the 20 arrondissements of the capital city of France. In spoken French, this arrondissement is referred to as ''treizième''. The arrondissement, called Gobelins, is situated on the left bank of the River Seine. It is home to Paris's principal Asian community, the Quartier Asiatique, located in the southeast of the arrondissement in an area that contains many high-rise apartment buildings. The neighborhood features a high concentration of Chinese and Vietnamese businesses. The current mayor is (Socialist), who was re-elected by the arrondissement council on 29 March 2008 after the list which he headed gained 70% of the votes cast in the second round of the 2008 French municipal elections, and was again re-elected on 13 April 2014 and in 2020. Ivry-sur-Seine
Ivry-sur-Seine () is a commune in the Val-de-Marne department in the southeastern suburbs of Paris, France. It is located from the centre of Paris. Paris's main Asian district, the Quartier Asiatique in the 13th arrondissement, borders the commune and now extends into the northern parts of Ivry. Asian commercial activity, especially Chinese and Vietnamese, has greatly increased in Ivry-sur-Seine during the past two decades. The commune contains one of the highest concentrations of Vietnamese in France, who began settling in the city in the late 1970s after the Vietnam War. Politically, Ivry-sur-Seine has historically demonstrated strong electoral support for the French Communist Party (PCF).
