Boulder Valley School District
The Boulder Valley School District No. Re2 is a school district in Colorado, headquartered in the BVSD Education Center in unincorporated Boulder County, near Boulder. The district serves Boulder, Gold Hill, Jamestown, Lafayette, Louisville, Nederland, Superior, and Ward. Its area also includes portions of Broomfield and Erie. The Boulder Valley Board of Education officially appointed Rob Anderson to be the superintendent on July 1, 2018. Anderson previously was the Deputy Superintendent of Academics in the Fulton County School System. Anderson has been an educator since 1997 having previously worked in the State of Florida before Georgia. Anderson replaced Cindy Stevenson, the ex-head of Jefferson County Public Schools, who had been hired as the interim superintendent on June 19, 2017. Stevenson succeeded Bruce K. John Greenleaf Whittier
John Greenleaf Whittier (December 17, 1807 – September 7, 1892) was an American Quaker poet and advocate of the abolition of slavery in the United States. Frequently listed as one of the fireside poets, he was influenced by the Scottish poet Robert Burns. New Vista High School
New Vista is a small public high school in Boulder, Colorado, United States. It was founded in 1993 by Rona Wilensky. Academics NVHS runs on a quarter system. Unusual in public education is its grading standard, which requires a grade of B− or better in order to pass a class. New Vista maintains relationships with the nearby University of Colorado and both major high schools in Boulder, Boulder High School and Fairview High School, allowing students access to courses available through those institutions. New Vista works on a different credit system from other regional public schools, but transfer students are still accepted. Broomfield High School is a public high school in Broomfield, Colorado, part of the Boulder Valley School District. History In 1961, a junior and senior high school opened at 14th and Daphne to serve students within the newly incorporated city of Broomfield. Boulder High School
Boulder High School is a high school in Boulder, Colorado, United States. It is part of the Boulder Valley School District. Boulder High School was founded in 1875 as a preparatory school to the University of Colorado. In 1876, it was the first high school in Colorado to graduate a class. The school is located in downtown Boulder, adjacent to the university’s campus and four blocks from the Pearl Street Mall. Construction Boulder High School's building at 1604 Arapahoe Avenue was constructed in 1933 by the Works Project Administration. The facade is classic Streamline Moderne.
