Amy Boulden (born 6 August 1993) is a Welsh professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour. Amateur career Boulden represented Wales and had one of the most successful amateur careers in Welsh golfing history, including part in winning a record three Home Internationals (2008, 2009 and 2013). She represented Europe in Junior Ryder Cup and Junior Solheim Cup, and represented Great Britain & Ireland in the 2011 Astor Trophy, the 2012 Curtis Cup, plus 2011 and 2013 Vagliano Trophy. Individually, Boulden was Welsh Girls Champion (2008), Welsh Ladies' Amateur Champion (2012), Scottish Open Amateur Champion (2012), Welsh Open Amateur Stroke Play Champion (2013) and English Open Amateur Stroke Play Champion (2013), and was runner up at the 2010 Ladies' British Open Amateur Stroke Play Championship. Jesse Freeman Boulden
Jesse Freeman Boulden (1820–1899) was a Baptist pastor and politician in Chicago and Mississippi. He founded a number of churches, including Olivet Baptist Church in Chicago. He served in the Mississippi House of Representatives during the Reconstruction Era. He also helped manage the Senate campaigns of Hiram Rhodes Revels and Blanche Kelso Bruce. Early life Jesse Freeman Boulden was born a free man in Delaware on October 8, 1820, to Andrew and Theresa Boulden. The family were born when the law in Delaware manumitted slaves at the age of 28 and their children at the age of 21. In this way, only one of Jesse's siblings, a brother, was a slave. When his brother approached the age of 21, he fled to Pennsylvania with the help of the white children of his master to avoid being sold further South. Wood Boulden, also known as Wood Bouldin, (January 20, 1811 – October 10, 1876) was a Virginia lawyer, plantation owner and politician. He served as a justice of the Supreme Court of Virginia from 1872 to 1876. Early and family life Born in Charlotte County, Virginia to the former Ann Lewis and her husband, Congressman Thomas Bouldin, he was named for his grandfather Wood Bouldin, who had married Joanna, the aunt of U.S. President John Tyler. Thus among the First Families of Virginia even in his early youth, Bouldin was sent to Richmond to receive a private education from Mr. Turner. He then was sent to Bedford County, Virginia to attend the New London Academy conducted by Rev. Nicholas H. Cobbs, later the bishop of Alabama.
