Botkins High School
Botkins High School is a public high school in Botkins, Ohio. It is the only high school in the Botkins Local Schools district. The school serves grades 7–12. The Trojans wear black, gold, and white and compete in the Ohio High School Athletic Conferences#Shelby County Athletic League, Shelby County Athletic League. Kent Boyd, a Top 2 finalist on So You Think You Can Dance (U.S. TV series), So You Think You Can Dance, graduated from Botkins High School in 2010. BHS is part of Botkins Local School, which serves grades K-12. Botkins Local School is a top 20 best public school in Ohio. Botkins recently moved their school from 208 North Sycamore to 404 East State Street as of 2014. Botkins is a village in Shelby County, Ohio, United States. The population was 1,155 at the 2010 census. Botkins is located alongside Interstate 75 at Exit 104. Botkins is at the northern edge of Shelby County, immediately south of its border with Auglaize County. It also lies at the northern edge of the 937 area code. Botkins High School boys basketball team won their school’s first ever state title in the schools history in 2021. History Botkins was platted in 1858, and named for Richard Botkin, the original owner of the town site. A post office called Botkins has been in operation since 1877. The village was incorporated in 1881. Geography Botkins is located at (40.459252, -84.182793). According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of , of which is land and is water.
